Finally on last week, I have applied for GCMS note via 3rd party. 45 days is their maximum timeline. Actually after how many days there is chance of getting GCMS note? As I have no idea about GCMS note, can anyone suggest which are the most important fields? BTW I am a November '14 applicant.

U may get it by 31 days maximum. We must help u to understand once u get gcms in hand if you share it with us.

Is there any update for the Dec 2014 applicants from Bangladesh? I have received none in almost 1 year.....

Guys,

Got two news of November Applicants. One 23rd November and another 28th November applicant. Both received their gcms and found their files started moving. Hopeful news so far.

Consulted with many resourceful persons of the forum and understood that each and every file will go under severe verification from now on. FB account, Linkdin account, google+ etc online verification along with site visit.

So everybody is requested to get ready for sudden office visit and maintain smooth online account.

Bright Angel

Reducing the length of time someone must be physically present in Canada to qualify for Citizenship
To help immigrants achieve citizenship more quickly, the Government is proposing to reduce the time required to be spent in Canada for citizenship for adults to three years (1095 days) within the five years before applying for citizenship. This will mean applicants can apply one year sooner than they can now. This offers greater flexibility for immigrants who may need to travel outside of Canada for various personal or work reasons.

Currently, the Citizenship Act requires applicants to be physically present in Canada for four years (1,460 days) within the six years immediately before applying for citizenship.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can anybody help to explain if a person has been in Canada:
2017: 365 days
2018: 365 days
2019: 365 days
2020: Jan 1 can start to submit citizenship application?
2021:
2022: Or he is only able to submit it on Jan 1 2022 regardless he already completed his obligation of staying in Canada for 1095 days?

I do not understand what 3 out of 5 yrs (what does the 5 yrs mean?)
or 4 out of 6 yrs (what does the 6 yrs mean?)

Thank you my kind brothers and kind sisters

Desertfox,

To let you know, my file was in review since I sent them PF in march 2015. PF was about my immigration history. They found me as a refugee claimant applicant, whereas I never been to Canada in my life. I know this is a mistake from their end but sent my case to be reviewed. Since March they didn't touch my file. After 7 months i saw from GCMS, the file is touched in October 2015. The last update made by review officer in December 02 2015 where the text is hidden.

Zia Bhai, sorry for the delayed response. No one can say how long they take, but as u never claimed refugee status, your file won't be rejected for this.

Try to stay calm.

Hi, for SGVO is it normal to have DECISION MADE before the PPR?

If so, how many days PPR usually arrives after Decision Made in ecas?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks bro.

Actually my vo is Manila VO, and I have already received PPR last Feb 25. On the same day, I sent an email request to have my visa stapming in Singapore.

I have not sent my passport yet, and there hasn't been any correspondences or instructions coming from Manila VO.

But when I checked status in ecas on March 7 it says DECISION MADE and not In-process.

They gave 30 days to submit, today is the 13th day and still no reply from my request... :o

Haven't they asked you to submit your passport in VFS Singapore?

Good news for those who are 2014-FSW from CIC :

"To prepare for the launch of Express Entry in 2015, the Government of Canada began accepting applications under new caps for the Federal Skilled Workers Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class in May 2014. These measures helped to supplement the Canadian work force in areas where there were skills shortages, and helped to prevent backlogs and improve processing times. In 2016, the Government of Canada will complete processing of these applications, ensuring these economic immigrants can come to Canada and enter the Canadian labour market."

Good luck to all.
