hi guys,please i need help from all of you.is there any chance that a valid pr visa gets cancelled If a Bangladeshi passport got cancelled against a new mrp passport?i applied for new mrp passport but my old mrp passport is still valid and it has a valid pr visa which is valid till MARCH 17th 2016.and my current mrp passport is expiring on 04 JUNE.

Your old passport will not be cancelled when you apply your new MRP passport from Bangladesh. New passport book will have a new number continued from old passport number.

So nothing worry to apply your new MRP passport book. You will have both passport to you.

On the other hand I was thinking it would have been better if I had got Additional doc request as it seams people whom have got the doc requests earlier are getting MR. Brother please pray for me as after my second line update on August 8th nothing more to share.

thanks Shamrajjo ! but i am worried because I heard people saying that everyone has to have a one valid passport.one can not travel with two valid passports.so if anyone renews passport then automatically the other passport gets invalid/cancelled.my question is i have applied for new mrp because my current passport is going to expire in the next few months.but if it has a valid pr immigrant visa will it also be get cancelled ?or my old/cancelled passport containing visas would still remain valid?I don't know how bangladeshi immigration handles this.any one help please.

thanks Shamrajjo ! but i am worried because I heard people saying that everyone has to have a one valid passport.one can not travel with two valid passports.so if anyone renews passport then automatically the other passport gets invalid/cancelled.my question is i have applied for new mrp because my current passport is going to expire in the next few months.but if it has a valid pr immigrant visa will it also be get cancelled ?or my old/cancelled passport containing visas would still remain valid?I don't know how bangladeshi immigration handles this.any one help please.

It should not be an issue since new passport always have old passport number and VISA is simply an authorization "sticky" paper fixed in passport. If you can show it, it means u r authorized to do anything that visa allows. So usually people keep fixing old passports with new passports just to use old VISA as reference point.

However, that is my common sense, which may go wrong !
