Just received my first GCMS this morning... They have allotted me 70 points. My self calculated points was 75 but they didn't count 5 points (uncle) in adaptability. Couldn't find any reason for that reduction. Anyway details are below: (my questions are in green)

Eligibility passed.

Here says Eligibility passed dated 2015/01/28 but in the beginning says last update 2015/03/19 where Eligibility is In Progress. :-X

Any due date? Nickah nama is actually important. They might want it as additional doc request. I think if you send it before the process would have been
faster.

I think it is not passed yet, they might still be checking your uncle's status in canada. And you should have 2nd line by now.

You can do one thing, send your marriage related docs again and with a cover letter that you found nikah nama is missing
according to your Gcms note. That might bring your file into processing again.

By post?

one of my relatives (he is also a consultant) told me that after getting PPR, I can travel to singapore along with my passport, and get it stamped directly from SGVO. he also mentioned if i submit in the morning at VO, i will get it back (with visa stamped) by afternoon. Is it true? has anyone heard about this kind of procedure?

yes, send notarized docs and sign the cover letter. After that raise a CSE mentioning the same thing as in cover letter and ask for update.

Totally wrong information -

Here is a quote from VO email for PP submission -

How to submit your passports

Applicants who reside in Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, or Viet Nam may send their passports to the High Commission of Canada in Singapore through the secure service offered by the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC). The service includes two-way secure shipping and tracking. A Service Charge must be paid for each applicant to cover handling and courier costs. Once processing has been completed, passports will be returned to the CVAC for collection by applicants.

Applicants residing in countries which are not currently serviced by a Canada Visa Application Centre may send passports directly to the High Commission of Canada in Singapore and enclose courier account information for passport return.

PLEASE NOTE: Passports may not be submitted in person to the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

Residents of BANGLADESH

Submit passports to the Canada Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, Chittagong, or Sylhet

If it was that simple, those forum member who lives in singapore with a passport request should have got visa by now. ;)

I don't think so. There are loads of people whose nature of job is to travel abroad very frequently. If this were required, VO offices would be driven crazy with all the reports. I think at the passport request stage, they will see all of your short travels from the stamps in your passport. If needed they will request your report then.

Looking at the brown color in Singapore SpreadSheet it seems like that they have started processing applications in reverse direction. Late Come First Served basis. ;D :D
I think they forgot to turn around the basket. :P
