I got the following reply of my CSE regarding adding my spouse.

How to add your spouse to your application:

In order to add your spouse to your application, we require the following documents:

- Updated IMM0008 Generic form and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself

- Schedule A Background Declaration form, and a Family Information form completed and signed by your spouse
- processing fee for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)
- notarized copy of the birth certificate of your spouse
- copy of your spouse's valid passport
- two recent passport-size photographs of your spouse according to the specifications
- a copy of your marriage certificate and marriage registration
- a few wedding photographs
- police clearance certificates for any country in which the spouse has resided in for 6 months or more since turning 18 (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp for more information)
- the Right of Permanent Residence Fee will need to be paid before a visa can be issued to your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)

Now the question is
1> Should I only send 2 copy of photo of the spouse? Isn't it 6 copy as I did as principle application before?
2> Update the old generic form that I have stored on pc or download a new form and fill it again with the additional data?
3> Proof of fund data was previously related with the economic class form? Now should I just send the updated bank statement and certificates without that economic class form?
4> There is no mention of the travel information form of the spouse? should I include it or not?

Can anyone give some insights on these will be really great.

Thanks in advance.

Dear bro,

They already told you to submit updated form but still you are asking should you submit updated or not.

They clearly mentioned for 2 recent PP photos. But you are still confused.

They didn't ask for POF. But you have to submit updated POF for 2 persons as this a must thing to do.

As they didn't mention anything about travel info so no need. Cozz it won't have a major impact. But if you wish you can submit.

Rest you proceed as per SGVO guidance.

Vaia,

1> Should I only send 2 copy of photo of the spouse? Isn't it 6 copy as I did as principle application before?----------AS THEY SAID TWO, THEN SEND TWO ONLY

2> Update the old generic form that I have stored on pc or download a new form and fill it again with the additional data?----------USE NEW ONE

3> Proof of fund data was previously related with the economic class form? Now should I just send the updated bank statement and certificates without that economic class form?---------ONLY BANK DOCS

4> There is no mention of the travel information form of the spouse? should I include it or not?--------U CAN AVOID IT SINCE THEY HAVE NOT MENTIONED IT.

Dear friends,
I'm a newbie in the forum. The applicant of 4 Sept, NOC 4011, PER 16/12, AOR 26/1. Now I have a question regarding adding my partner. We have not got married, and for some personal reasons we may not want so; but we have lived together for around 1 year, so can be classifed as common partners. I want to add him into my application; however I only see information from you guys for adding spouse. Any of you already had experience in adding a common partner into your application? What documents I need to prepare? How do you think about the reliability or authenticity of these documents from CIC's perspective? Whether they will believe or we should get married in order to have a somewhat more reliable marriage certificate? Thanks a lot in advance for your advice.

Oh yes. How can I forget of that incident? I remember, after I read about it I spent the whole day on all my online accounts looking for inconsistencies. It was a feeling of paranoia.

Hi All,

I am just quoted one of Ashif bhaiya's post and hope it will help to know from this notice again....

It's unlikely but you all shouldn't be too quick to rule it out.

If CIC have any doubts they will run background checks. If they find anything that is inconsistent, they can question it. If they search for you online and linkedin says you have a completely different job(s) - it will raise a red flag.

My suggestion would be to ensure everything matches up!

Ashif vai,if some one gets 2nd line and 18 days have been passed what can be expected? :-[ Actually what are the critical steps that the 2nd line indicates as already passed by this time. U know recent trend in SGVO is really stressful :o

Vaia,

U will have to wait....Many of us are having same thing......Second line addition means - atleast u have passed eligibility......which is the most major part of ur file processing....

Pray for each other...:)

lvtruong,

Applicant "nobinq" i think got rejected as he got decision made before MR. And after that there is no news from him. So we can assume that he has been rejected. Can you put a column for rejection and set the color as RED??

That is done, Sister.

LinkedIn/Facebook is not reliable source through which they can decide our fate, and it is also difficult to find/search right profile, there are thousands of people with same name, how can they be sure they have found right person.

They may check randomly and if found your correct profile then it is positive point (for applicant), but if they are not able to find correct profile then it is not negative point (for applicant). They have to find other ways to verify your JD that's all this is their job. Don't worry too much about online profiles.

Only my views, waiting eagerly for 2nd line update too.

Dear Subrun,

It sounds to me, very highly unlikely that they are still doing a background check on you after sending you a PPR. Even if they are, no need to worry as long as you are what you told them. I am a regular on LinkedIn. I see such invites and people checking my profile very often. There is no need to worry at all. Insha-Allah, your passport is on the way with the COPR! :) Best of Luck!! See you in Canada soon.

Regards,
Rick

is there anyone here who used a PoSB everyday card for payment? if you did, did you received any acknowledgment? did you had any problem? i hope someone can answer me...

Dear Brother,

Yes you are correct, there are thousands of profiles in same name however CIC can check your email ID related profile or it may be from your relative’s name who are included by your relative form by matching your name and ID.

An online profile is not exactly strong evidence of what is reported there but no one should be surprised by this. It is CIC's job to investigate, particularly if CIC has identified concerns or issues.

In any event, applicants for citizenship should be aware that CIC is likely tapping into various sources of information about an individual, and particularly any which the individual himself or herself has established, including sites like LinkedIn and, I would suspect, social media sites, among others.

Even though they can call the bank to verify if the cash is sitting in the account or not or some clear explanations as per source of funds.......

Bottom line.....these cats verify every single damn thing.....from your facebook profile to linkedin profile or jobsearch boards, social media, and work experience........so be careful with what you place online about yourself.

This will be not applicable for everyone but it is an awareness in general.

Wish you all the very best. :) :)

Hi Subrun,

1. When did you inform VO on your newborn? Email or CSE Enquiry
2. Did VO requested you the documents to add your newborn before sending them? If yes, you receive it thru email? Did you include your baby's passport copy?
Your baby is born in Singapore?
3. How did you send your newborns documents, thru VFS or mail or courier?
4. How did you received your newborns' MR Request? Is it together with newborn's Passport Request?

We have same case. I informed VO on my newborn on the 5th Dec and send the documents & processing fee to include my newborn on 11thDec (together with our RPRF and medicals). But the Newborn's passport copy was sent only on 29th Dec due to long processing of passport in our country. But until now, no MR & PPR for the newborn.

How did you received your Baby's MR, is it thru email or mail?

Arkitepaul, You must be a very patient person. You applied in 2011 and RPRF request came this year? OMG! :-X :-X :-X
