Ashif vai,if some one gets 2nd line and 18 days have been passed what can be expected? :-[ Actually what are the critical steps that the 2nd line indicates as already passed by this time. U know recent trend in SGVO is really stressful

Being curious on recent trend of checking I visited my account and found that one has visited this two days ago. Here I have nothing except few connections but no profile added. What might be the consequences if there is nothing as info? I have 2nd line on 8th January in Ecas status.

Dear All, This is just to make u cautious that Your Local Visa Office may check your LinkedIn , Facebook and Twitter Profile for background checking.


Usually most of the background checking responsibility is handed over to third parties which can includes employer verification/police clearance confirmation etc. So who have these Social website profiles are suggested to sync with ur application provided job designation (or "Make Invisible to Everyone" on privacy settings).

I have observed one Indian applicant (on 2012) whose Linkedin profile was indicating that he had worked on Law background but he is an Electrician under which he applied...

Later on he was asked for an interview by his Canadian Case officer...She behaved so rudely with the applicant for the mismatch between his application and LinkedIn profile.

As per applicant, he was actuaally an Electrician but he had taken law degree beside of this and practiced for this law activities.He have not declared his law degrees and jobs on his Schedule A background declaration form. Later he admitted his fault that he hid on his app.

The case officer was not satisfied what applicant declared on the interview....

That thread member have not updated his status later.

It's unlikely but you all shouldn't be too quick to rule it out.

If CIC have any doubts they will run background checks. If they find anything that is inconsistent, they can question it. If they search for you online and linkedin says you have a completely different job(s) - it will raise a red flag.

My suggestion would be to ensure everything matches up!

Topu bro you can't add your details in the SGVO SS like Global SS. I saw you didn't update your ID in the Global SS. Pls update it and then i'll add your details in the SGVO SS.

Applicant "nobinq" i think got rejected as he got decision made before MR. And after that there is no news from him. So we can assume that he has been rejected. Can you put a column for rejection and set the color as RED??

I have added my spouse after app submission...U may send a CSE.....But u can also send the below docs directly to SG without sending/waiting of the reply of CSE...They had not replied my CSE for spouse addition on 2013.


Forms:
1. Cover Letter stating ur changes
2. Generic App form- Principal applicant
3. Schedule A - Background declaration -spouse
4. Additional Family info- Spouse
5. Supplementary -Travels- Principal applicant
6. Fee payment
7. Doc checklist
8. 15-20 marriage Photos


DOCUMENTS
1. Photo-6 copy with 5 copy written name
2. 550 CAD
3. Birth Certificate
4. Passport- Spouse
5. Marriage Certificate
6. Nikahnama (English ver)
7.Settlement fund ( CAD: $13,837 for two person)-Bank cert+Statement
8. Police clearance certificate-Spouse
9. All educational docs- spouse (though checklist does not indicate those but recently SGVO asking this to several applicant)

I got the following reply of my CSE regarding adding my spouse.

How to add your spouse to your application:



In order to add your spouse to your application, we require the following documents:



- Updated IMM0008 Generic form and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself

- Schedule A Background Declaration form, and a Family Information form completed and signed by your spouse
- processing fee for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)
- notarized copy of the birth certificate of your spouse
- copy of your spouse’s valid passport
- two recent passport-size photographs of your spouse according to the specifications
- a copy of your marriage certificate and marriage registration
- a few wedding photographs
- police clearance certificates for any country in which the spouse has resided in for 6 months or more since turning 18 (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp for more information)
- the Right of Permanent Residence Fee will need to be paid before a visa can be issued to your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)

Now the question is
1> Should I only send 2 copy of photo of the spouse? Isn't it 6 copy as I did as principle application before?
2> Update the old generic form that I have stored on pc or download a new form and fill it again with the additional data?
3> Proof of fund data was previously related with the economic class form? Now should I just send the updated bank statement and certificates without that economic class form?
4> There is no mention of the travel information form of the spouse? should I include it or not?

Can anyone give some insights on these will be really great.
