Hi All,

I just read it and hope you will happy to know about the news -

"Visiting a loved one who lives abroad is important for all families and now Canada says it has the best family reunification visa systems in the world.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has hailed its Parent and Grandparent visa programme a huge success, with 70,000 benefitting since it was launched in 2012...... "

For those who received a request to submit Police Certificate. In the letter, did they mentioned any specific country requiring for Police cert? On my case, they specify to provide police cert from all countries resided for 6 months or more since turnin 18 then they only mentioned Singapore Police Certificates.

Does it means that I only need to prove SG police cert or other countries as well? It is quiet confusing becuase it was mentioned all countries where you lived for 6 months then suddenly, they speccify the country. Thanks for your inputs.

Yes sometimes they confused applicants with such statements....Mine one is also similar with u...

better to follow the first one...That means -- provide police cert from all countries resided for 6 months or more since turnin 18.

Today one of colleague have received DNA test for his child from Singapore VO. Her child was born after getting his PPR. After that he sent child's doc along his PP...And then SG sent medical and PP request for his child.

Now again they requested this DNA test.

So anybody having DNA testing experience are requested to respond.

A very odd and awkward request!!

[size=10pt]I have raised a CSE to sgvo about adding my spouse with my application. Any idea when I can hear from them? In the meantime I will go ahead and start preparing the docs as suggested by Ashif vai.

Also anyone going through the same process of adding spouse to their application, please knock me or drop me a line. That might be helpful for both of us.

Ashif,,,, with dna request letter cic provide a list of 4 laboratory in Canada from where u have to do DNA test. Your friend has to choose one of them & pay around $400 for 2 person. Once you made arrangement with laboratory you have to send 2 passport photo to cic-singapre for each person . Then it may take 2 weeks to 2 months to get a schedule for dna sample collection. previously Prescription Point, Banani collected dna sample on behalf of laboratory. they will call you when they get schedule from singapore.

Look like SGVO now not interested that much about business/finance related NOC, don't understand their attention

dear all,
my date of AOR: 09 December 2014 (NOC 4011)
today (22 Jan 2015) i have received a frustating email from SGVO as follows. plz give me ur valuable suggestions.

SPOREIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca
Dear Mr ...
This refers to your application for a permanent resident visa to Canada.
I have assessed your application and there is insufficient evidence to show that you meet the minimal requirements as per subsection 75(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Subsection 75(2) states that a foreign national is a skilled worker if:
(a) within ten years preceding the date of their application for a permanent resident visa, they have at least one year of continuous full-time employment (30 hours/week) experience, or the equivalent in continuous part-time employment in one or more occupations, other than a restricted occupation, that are listed in Skill Type 0 Management Occupations or Skill Levels A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix;
(b) during that period of employment they performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification; and
(c) during that period of employment they performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, including all of the essential duties.

I am not satisfied that you meet all three parts of these requirements. You have provided insufficient evidence to satisfy me that you have performed the action described in the lead statement, and a substantial number of the main duties, of the occupation as set out in NOC 4011 University professors and lecturers.
If you have any additional information to add to your application you should forward this to our office within thirty (30) days of the date of this letter.

Sincerely

now my questions are:
1. what should be additional information/evidence for 30 hours/week work experience and main duties? (with CIC application, i had sent Experience certificate, work contract in university letterhead pad prepared according to document checklist where it was mentioned more than one year of continuous full-time employment (36 hours/week) experience).
CIC already passed this in eligibility check, why SGVO is not satisfied about this?
2. How can i elaborate my job duties? (plz see the link below of my job duties prepared as per NOC 4011 and submitted with CIC application.

3. is this assessment done thru background check or only document checking?
4. plz explain if u have any other understanding about this SGVO e-mail.

3. is this assessment done thru background check or only document checking?

For Hope,

May I ask:
1. This mail from SGVO, does it have your UCI number?
2. what is the contents of the mail, does it say "we received your application"?

If you answered yes to both questions, it is your 1st line update (AOR). That is good news.

To your question on what you should do - I think you should CELEBRATE! Congratulations.

Next step, you will get 2nd Line Update (VO will start processing your application) and then send you a Medical Request (MR), Right of Permanent Residence Fee Request (RPRF) and Passport Request (PPR) post which your PR stamp will be in your Visa and you can land in Canada.

CONGRATULATIONS !!! Party Time!

Regards,
Rick

Hi Rick, My situation is as same as HOPE. My ans. to both of your question is "YES" :D I got AOR in 17th Oct. Now CIC showing my application status - In processing. then????!!!!
