hi Esttycan14,

I responded in the other forum. My response was some of the canadian recruiters who have contacted me have american hr certifications, i.e. PHR/SPHR, etc.

Whilst the CHRP certification is the ONLY recognized HR certification in Canada, i dont think it hurts to have the american certification either. As to whether the SPHR will improve one's chances in getting interview calls in Canada, my personal experience seems to attest to that. But this is only my own personal experience.

Congrats once again; I tried asking you if SHRM certification is actually relevant in Canada and I've not seen your response.

Thanks so much for your response, God bless you!

I am pleased to report that my husband and I have received medical requests today and second line updated! Here is our timeline:

NOC 0112
Visa Office: Kingston, Jamaica
Application submitted October 7, 2014
CC Charged December 17, 2014
Per Received January 14, 2015
ECAS 2nd line update March 7, 2015- "We started processing your application on March 4, 2015"
Medical Requests March 7, 2015

My hubby is the primary applicant. He actually received his medical request email before mine because apparently there was a delay in the email, however a separate email for me came in this evening. We are so happy!!!

You are so blessed. I am a Sept applicant but until now NO MR. MVO is slow. Hope to receive it by End of March or 2nd week of April.

Hi everyone. I am a Newbie here. Unfortunately my app received by CIO on 29 Dec for NOC 0112 has been returned. I called them yesterday to check the status of my application and CIC agent informed me that it was returned on 26 Feb. The reason they stated was that the cap for this NOC has filled. :(

Hi meemee

I had few queries. I am planning to move to Toronto in August this year. I have already received my PPR. I intend to do CHRP Certification / HR short term courses on landing. Pls suggest if you are aware of such courses

Hello Meemee, yes I am aware of such qualifications, and I've been in touch with them. They are very helpful. Just Google CHRP and you will find the relevant site, exam info, etc.

Thanks SinG for ur revert. I tried figuring out details abt CHRP and figured out that we would have to appear in NKE exam before we enroll in CHRP. Also there are other criteria like education assessment / work experience assessment etc. Just wanted to understand if anyone got in touch with universities in Toronto or CHRP and knows the entire process.
I have done my MBA HR from India.
