Glad that I'm getting very close to the finish line.

Congrats! May I confirm with you that original passport must be sent to HKVO even if I'm from visa-exempt country? Many thanks!

I haven't been requested to send passports to HKVO ever.
But I did make color copies of passports which attached and sent with other documents to HKVO.

It does have an expiry date on it. 1 year after medical.

according to your timeline, you have done your medical on 05 Sep'15 so you should be landing in canada before 05 Sep 2016?
I just wanna know how many months usually we have time to prepare our departure. in your case, it seems like you have a lot of time to get prepared.
best of luck, mate :D

The expiry date is a few days after medical. I guess it was the day CIC received the results.
Yes, glad that I've got plenty of time to prepare, especially need some time to settle things financially.

I'm thinking which city to settle, Van too expensive, Alberta is going down, Toronto seems better but not sure.
I notice you've applied thru PNP, which province you are in?

well, you better start googling now lol just kidding ;D
you're from FSW so you have lots of choices to look around and move around.
yeah, i heard Vancouver is getting crazily expensive even though it's a wonderful city to live in. Alberta is cooling down because of the oil price, but hey it wont stay low forever. I don't know much about Toronto though, just heard the weather could be quite harsh up there. Heard some ppl said lots of opportunity in Saskatchewan as well.
For me, I'm going to Halifax, Nova Scotia. it's in the east coast. rather slower pace and smaller city but yet not too deep in the jungle :D
I have never been there but I think I already fall in love with her lol cliche 8) I can smell the sea and wind already 8)

Hi all,

Would like to ask if anyone can advice the landing process? I saw that they required some sort of fund proof, what kind of documents are required to provide in this case?

besides, would like to know if anyone would land in toronto? might be we could have some sort of gathering when we are there? i will be landing there on 2dec. :-)

Thanks!
