I'm an October PhD stream applicant. Since August 15, my file is in RFV and it's interesting to see December applicants getting ppr/DM while there is no activity in PhD stream.

that's not true. a phd applicant will receive his pp back this week from ottawa with visa stamping. he got ppr early december.

I have noticed that ecas status updates after 12:00 am ottawa time. so it is better to check it after midnight versus checking it every 10 min

RFV is the visa printing location. Appears RFV entails that it is ready for final review.

Sorry another question: does being Appears RFV means no interview and security clearance is complete?

Another observation:
I have noticed that my ecas on updates on Fridays. Even all the communication i received from ottawa was on a Friday. So maybe by the end of this week all of us shall receive DM inshallah
