Hi guys,

You may want to try contacting your local MP to check your application status on your behalf. They have more access to information than any of us. I emailed my local MP and got responses on the same day. Although they won't yell at the minister of CIC on your behalf, they could find out what status of your application current is. It's far more accurate and quicker.

It looks like the files before Dec/2014 have been reviewed and they are to send out the letters (no defined timeline though).

Help this helps.

Hello!
I just found out about this forum and spent good hour reading through some of the stuff.

I'm mid October 2014 applicant with medical done in July (request was sent in April, but because of pregnancy I chose to defer them up until July 2015). I was super curious about the whereabouts of my file and what was going on. Thank you for all the discussions here now I know I'm not alone.

In case you guys think only November December applicants are left. I know at least one 26 sept and another mid October applicant who are waiting for PPR.

Soon I hope :)

BS. They work only with Economic classes applications.

Hey you seem to have a good understanding of CIC. Much thanks for still finding time for replying people. Were you a phd applicant? What city in Canada did you chose to live in after PR? Just curious :-)

You are welcome! I was NOC category, but I completed a Master's program in Ontario as well, so could have applied either as OINP or EE.

I was checking Express Entry forum. Even today, a few applicants have received PPR and still no news for us! >:( :'(

the sad part is that they start nagging about having to wait 2-3 days after decision made to get a PPR lol.

And they don't know what CIO is as well =)

There are probably multiple MPs in your city, I guess. Try contacting one who has been re-elected. Mine is a re-elected MP, so there is no need for time to settle in office.

Good idea +1. Please keep us posted of what will happen.

Curious about.... will our applications be influenced by the processing time of Syria refugees?
What if the Ottwa office needs more time to check the backgrounds of them?

For 1000th time. CPC-O is responsible only for economic classes' applications.

There is a bad news in Phd stream applicants. One of FSW-2014 applicants has received RCMP background check request (fingerprints) 6 months after his medical examinations! It looks that things are getting more tough with CPC-Ottawa rather than getting better! :(

May be they are conducting extra security measures and checks

Damn!! I hope they won't ask us all to do that. It takes couple months to process the RCMP report after fingerprints.
Do u know where's this applicant from? Or if they took his fingerprint before when he applied for a visa?

Thanks!
