Vinjaj, harrysaini, Others,
One more question i have (related to Ottawa office) - I just received my EP. Is it good to do the medicals before we receive MR?
I have previous UCI for my family hence i can schedule doctor appointments but wanted to know its effect of doing early apart from visa validity getting shortened.

no dude..other than that there is no effect on the whole process..only the Visa Validity of landing gets shortened..!!

lol..i think with express entry they are getting upfront medicals done..so i don't think you need to worry about that..!!

Curious, how visa validity gets shortened with prior medicals done? Do they start from the medical completion date?

Good to see another December applicant ..you got your TLU a month back so you must be ready to get you PPR anytime soon..best of luck for that

Thanks, Harrysaini.

Hope we all get PPR soon. Do you know the approx. time between TLU & PPR for those who have received PPR recently?

Visa expiry date is same as medical expiry date. Medical is valid for a year.

It's generally around 3-4 weeks after your TLU but CPCO works in its own merry way so you can not predict about the time ..hopefully you get it soon !!

I am new to this particular forum. We received our passports with visa and copr. Planning to land thru border crossing at rainbow bridge niagara. Any idea what documents required other than passport, copr, fund and address proof. Please share info if available. What could be the best time to avoid long waiting? Morning or afternoon? Canadian bank statement is enough as a proof of fund or draft is required? I am student here.

Yeah recent bank statement from Canada should be fine. Just prepare an excel summarizing all POF. For other details, see the following:

3. POF. [for cases "without" AEO & family class] (details below)
4. Passport size photos. -2 or 3 for PRC (may not be needed, but good to have)
5. PR Card Application (IMM 5444E). -carry it filled pre-printed, for ease
6. Goods to Follow List (Form B4 / B4A). -carry it filled pre-printed, for ease
7. Goods Accompanying List. -as above, a table of things u r carrying on person (value & Totaled)
Forms required later
8. SIN Card Apps Form (NAS 2120). -Not Needed at the A/port [later at Services Canada]
9. Kids Immunization Record. -Not Needed at the A/port [later for School Admission]

guys needs a small help.. i just logged on to my ECAS system this morning and found a line whose meaning i am not able to understand..it says

"We sent you correspondence on August 12, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

i called up CIC and they said the last communication sent to you was by email for MR on the 7th and nothing else.

any suggestions anyone..??
