Hello everyone,

I am pleased to announce that I received passport stamped with visa on thursday and completed the landing procedure at Niagara falls the same day. the landing procedure tok about 2 hours time and they did want to know about the funds I was carrying to support myself and my spouse in Canada. Rest everything was good.

Hey Sub_zero and AAahmed, if either of you are succesful in talking to a CIC agent today, can you let them know of this technical issue so they can do something about it? Maybe it has happened to quite a number of people and they are not aware of it. I will try my best to speak to someone today and if the same thing happened to me, I will let them know too.

After 3 hours of trying to reach an agent, he said that this is normal and usually email will follow after DM by 7-10 working days. I emailed Ottawa office today, but don't expect any reply in the near future.

Will try my luck with abother cic agent later.
Let us know if you got any updates as well.

Hi Lyn
Its an assumption that those who had their ppr sent on 27 may have some technical problem we are 3 personnel have been told that we had positive decision and that ppr sent already .....otherwise we are rejected but I don't think so as call center has told me its approved and ppr sent......I had sent an email but no reply yet if I am able to get through I tell u the update.....try to tell them that u r worried that u might missed the email

Hi I was in Canada. As you would be entering via rainbow bridge the officials there would want to know with certainty how much funds you carrying and whether your US funds you can be easily accessible from Canada or not. Bring statements of all your US funds and carry decent amount in cash as well which you can show as liquid assets. Rest everything should be okay. Process time on weekdays will be 2 hours but can go up if you plan it on weekend.

One of the 2 agents who told me about the email sent on 27 was so surprised and told me that she will send an email to Ottawa regarding this

What did you mention specifically when you speak on the phone? "I need to check the status" or "I need to know what is the decision" or something else?
