Hello All, Finally got my rejection letter in the mail and it really doesnt make sense . Long and short of it was that the officer did not give m points for experience . He stated that "there was no pint credited for your experience as you did not provide the details necessary to confirm work experience". I submitted a letter from my boss with the work duties , I also used an extension sheet to list out all my duties . attached my pay stubs and work contract . Yet they think I dont have work details. PLease can someone advise what the next step could be. I am thinking of getting an immigration lawyer to appeal this decision. Doesnt make any sense to me .

Ya buddy get an immigration lawyer ..and this does not make any sense at all

Wow!!! I am so excited!!! ;D :D ;D :D ;D

I am so pleased to share the wonderful news that besides the SLU that I posted about just a bit earlier I just received the email advising me to get the medicals done for me my spouse and kids! (MR) It said that the instructions would come in another email within 48 hours but they immediately came right after one for me and each member of my family.

In the same email was the request for Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)!

It also requested PCC for my spouse as only mine was submitted with the application.

The email went on to say:
"Please send the documentation requested above as soon as possible. If we do not receive all the documents requested or the explanation within 60 days from the date of this letter, we shall assume that you are no longer interested in pursuing your application and your application will be refused and your file closed."

I wonder why some people are given 90 days and some 60. Who knows?

So while this does give 60 days I'm hoping that the "or the explanation" would allow for an explanation that the FBI is taking forever to get back my wife's PCC in the event that it doesn't get back to me in time. It has only been 8 weeks and it takes 12-14 weeks. That should be enough time but I'm so nervous about it. This is the 3rd attempt to get it for her because she has fingerprints that are very thin and hard to record. The first two attempts failed and were done in the standard method with ink. The last attempt was done via "LiveScan" electronic fingerprinting so I am hopeful that this time it will be sufficient for them to process.

Anyways...For those interested it listed my Program Assistant as: DA20220

Woo Hoo!!!!! ;D :D ;D :D ;D

I was asked to submit medical within 30 days only. I wonder on what basis do they decide whether to ask for medical within 30, 60 or 90 days for various applicants ?

i called both in houston and dallas ..i am in houston ..which is the expensive one.. dallas is cheaper..i hope we guys get the MR soon..this wait is excruciating ..lol

Hey harrysaini,

Do you know if the Houston location does eMedical or only old paper style? I'm going to probably call tomorrow to see about getting an appointment set up now that I got MR. I was just wondering if you know. If Dallas has eMedical and Houston doesn't I'm wondering if it might not be worth the extra drive. Also, with all the flooding that happened, I'm wondering if that could cause delays in getting the ME done. Hopefully they didn't get flooding in the area of the doctor's office in Houston.

I just realized you are there too...I hope all is well with you and you didn't get flooded. ???

I agree with harrysaini...now would be the time to get an immigration lawyer. Something doesn't sound right. I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you. :(

I don't know, blast4past. I wonder too. The funny thing is that the email told me to get Medicals done, submit RPRF for my wife and myself, and to submit PCC for my spouse. It then proceeded to say that it all had to be done in 60 days. The subsequent emails with the IMM1017s for each family member included instructions that stated:

You are required to undergo the medical examinations within 30 days of the date of this
letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.

I guess it is 30 days for medical and 60 days for everything else. RPRF I will do tomorrow so as to not delay it any further. I'm going to call also to get an appointment for MEs as soon as possible. The PCC unfortunately is out of my hands and I'm just playing the waiting game. Maybe the shorter time frames put on me is a good thing...maybe CIC wants to process me faster. 8) ;D

Glad you had no flooding issues. ;)

Thanks!!! I Googled the address of the Houston doc and it seems to be towards the northwest so hopefully no flooding issues there. I'll let you know what I find out after I call them.

I submitted PCC from Canada without fingerprint. I worry just about this.
I made my medical tests today! :)

I found this:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp

It seems you don't need to get a PCC from Canada unless the Canadian Visa Office tells you to...see the section "if you live in Canada."

So if they haven't asked for it you are probably ok.
