Just got off the phone with CIC, I was told that my file was completed today and that's all i can get for now but everything was passed, so I should get an e-mail any day now. Let's see how long that takes and let's hope that it's good news ::)

Thanks. In that case, Can I ask a friend of mine who is in Canada to Print the labels using EST Online & email it to me. Will that work?
I received RFV mail on 20th may with exact same instructions as mentioned by "Canadacalling". So i created a prepaid label using EST profile and sent my PPs by Fedex to Ottawa yesterday.

Its a very simple process.Just create an EST profile.Give CPCO address in the sender fields and your addrss in receiver field.

Hey Bullseye,

Call the same number that Grace gave to you but you have to keep trying. Even if you get through it still depends on the officer to give you information. I was very lucky to get a nice lady who laughs a lot :)

Seniors,

Can you advice on this?

Hi Seniors,

As I was figuring a way to send my PP with appropriate tracking, I found this old post. I am an Indian citizen residing in US. According to this, I cannot send my PP outside US. Should I ask to transfer my Visa office to NY. What should I do?

You are not supposed to send your passport outside country but many people have successfully done.

Just make a quick choice. If you don't want to send it out, send an email to CPC-O with all your details and mentioning your officers name and word "Urgent" in subject. Ask them that you as you are not supposed to send your passport outside country, you want your visa to be stamped withing US (New York or California, whichever is close).

Don't wait and listen to different opinions. Do what you feel is right.

If you send it to Ottawa it will be come back quicker (next 2-3 weeks). If you opt to send an email to CPC-O you may have to wait for another 10-20 days to get a request from NY or California office to send them your passport.

Officially that's what it says on the last page of your Indian passport. But people have been sending passports to Canada from USA and getting it back without any issue.
It's upto you to decide wether to send it out of the country or not.

Thanks Vinaj & Canadacalling. How do I know my officer's name.

Anyone got any updates on any recent Medical requests..??

you are still fine as I am now waiting for 103 days and still no sign of MR :(

Has anyone in the forum having an Indian PP & residing in US written to CIC requesting them to change their Visa office to New York or California due to the below rule of technically not allowed to send Indian PP outside your country of residence by Post.
