there was someone who did that and got a reply from the New york consulate to send their passport to there..so you can take that route..

Program assistant followed by an alphanumeric code. That's your case officer

You can find your program assistant name or code in signature of the emails. It should be some think like ZS### or RK####

Yes people have done it. Don't say "change visa office' as visa office cannot be changed. Use word like 'request to get our passports stamped from Canadian visa office in the US' or something like that

If you do so and of they agree, you will hear from New York or California visa office directly after that

Thanks a lot Harry, canadacalling & vinaj. I just emailed them as discussed. However, what I am worried is that my PP should reach them by Jun 12. Now, they email you quite late. Can I ask them for an extention if this is not resolved.

I would say wait till 7th June and if you don't hear from them, send it so it will definitely reach before 12th June. You may want to wait a day or two longer if you can send it overnight or 2 days delivery to Canada
