I have not yet had my ME but I have researched it....From what I can see, Hepatitis B is something they will ask about in your medical history. I don't know what tests they may do that would discover it but I wouldn't want to get caught lying about it. That would get you disqualified for sure. Now that said, I know that people who have diabetes have been approved. The only thing is that they have to determine how far advanced it is to determine if it would be too taxing on the healthcare system. So when diabetes is present they do extra tests to make sure there aren't further complications with the kidneys, etc.
Now, from what you say it sounds like you don't have so bad of a situation but just are a carrier. Do you actually have it or were you just exposed to it because your mother had it when you were born? It might make a difference. I'm not a Dr, nor do I know enough about it to understand Hepatitis B, but it could be in what I was seeing in the IMEI guide that if you have it they do additional tests when Hepatitis is present. It may be that if you don't have liver damage etc., you might still be OK. I'd have to read up on it some more. If I find anything else, I'll let you know.
