Hi, just wanted to update that I finally got an MR this morning by email. My app. rec. date was 28th Nov'14, PER was 19th Feb.
Hopefully others will be getting it soon.

Congrats and +1 Rohit!!!

Guys is there any policy regarding the file size of documents emailed to CPC-Ottawa? I mean the number and size of files. Pdf size shouldn't exceed 2MB each or all together?

While raising CSE request, I have seen the file size should not exceed 2 GB but while sending email to them not sure. I think it should allow. How much size are you trying to send?

I mean for example if you have four pdf files to email and all together would be around 4MB, is it OK?

2 weeks back I sent 4.6 GB [5 files] as attachment...

I have my FBI report as I got it in February. It took just under 3 months to get.
In the email it gives 90 days to provide this document. It would be a fine line if I didn't have it.
Awesome. I sent mine in with my application but my wife's wasn't available. We sent the requests at the same time but her prints were not clear enough so they sent it back. We sent it again and after waiting the same thing happened again. Now we sent it a 3rd time and the FBI received it on April 06 so hopefully it will happen this time. This last time we did the LiveScan electronic prints so they redid them until they got good images and them printed them on the fingerprint cards. It should be fine this time but like you said it takes about 3 months each try.

I am not sure if I have to take another medical as they received my e-medical results last month. Not sure how it is with FSW providing medical results before receiving a request off the Visa officer.

The medical exam is supposed to be good for 12 months so if you got it done last month I would imagine it should still be valid. Were you just doing it proactively or for some other purpose?

Congrats mate

Thanks !

So they ve asked me for the FBI police certificate and I am going to send in the request tomorrow. Reading from the comments, it seems like FBI is taking more than 90 days to send the police certificate ... something that I m getting worried about. Does anyone know if CPC-O would allow for some extra time for the PCC ?

See my response to kennethdunn below. I would recommend getting your prints done at a place that does the LiveScan instead of the old standard ink prints, if you can locate a place near you that does that -- just to avoid having your application to FBI for PCC rejected like my wife had happen twice. Her problem is that her hands are very smooth so it is hard to get good prints. With the ink version it comes out however it comes out. If you do the electronic LiveScan method they can scan and rescan until they get a good image to print on the fingerprint cards.

Thanks kwyatt75, fortunately the place I am getting my fingerprints done will do it electronically and then print it on a card. Would you also be able to advise on the timeline? Does CPC-O give some extension if the PCC does not arrive in time ?

I wish I knew to be able to tell you. I didn't even know that they gave you 90 days. I just found that out by Kenney's response. I would hope that they would. Maybe someone else who has experience with this can share info.

It seems they should know the situation with the FBI. The FBI has it right on their webpage that it is taking about 12-14 weeks for processing. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

I would communicate with them if it is getting close to the 90-days to ask for an extension. Try to keep some sort of proof that you have applied for the PCC and that the FBI is just taking long to get the response to you.

Best wishes.

I submitted my police checks with my application but didn't have the FBI certificate at the time, so I just added a cover letter with a copy of the original Fed EX bill and said I would forward it when I received it. I have them now and this is why I guess they are requesting it. After submitting the finger prints I was paranoid if they would be accepted, even though they were taken at the local police station. I would recommend multiple ones if sending paper ones. 12 weeks is way too long to wait for a rejection.
Still trying to find if I can use my e-medicals from 2 months ago as I don't want to pay fees and travel again, if I don't have to. Can't really find answers searching through other threads.
Cheers
Kenny

Thanks for your reply! Did you receive the automatic email which they have received your files and/or did you check with CIC whether or not they got your files?
