lSir, I have seen this instruction somewhere on CiC website before but one way or the other, cant seem to find it anymore ever since this express entry came into effect. I have seen people's application returned via the CEC program http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=675&t=6

So same for FSWP I believe...But let me enlighten you further as far as my knowledge goes; Firstly, they said you must have atleast ONE year CONTINUOUS full time to claim points and be eligible. Most coop I know here in Canada are usually 4months to 8months(if there's even 8months)max, So it doesn't qualify. Secondly, study jobs during study period doesn't qualify as well because you're suppose to spend 20hrs maximum/week while studying, so you cant claim points because you were studying (a different purpose) and that most study works aren't continuous enough to get the full number of work hours for qualification.

Thirdly, I haven't heard of someone who applied for FSW using internship, coop, student work ever!!! :)
I hope these helps bro

Neither the operating manual nor this link explicitly list that experience while student doesn't count. Especially paid coop experience where you take time off from school and go work for a company

is there any other source you know of?

Nice!

For holders of GCMS notes, look at page 2 for this section to identify CO. Otherwise you will have to rely on MR, which is not very accurate, cause some of these emails are sent by secretary, not the actual adjudicator.

Hi, could u please share the location of your file....

Thanks very much,...

I understand what you are saying, and I repeat that based on information from GCMS files of FSW1 and FSW3 applicants, they are processed by the same COs based on receipt date, hence I don't think that PhD applicants are mistreated. PER date is not enough to make a judgement on which file is processed first, you need to know the TFR-Eligibility date from CIO to CPC-O.
For my case PER date is FEB. 5, TFR-Eligibility date is Feb. 12, and my paper file has been received by CPC-OTTAWA in FEB. 23 (based on GCMS notes). What do you think diplomatru?

That would be cool, but:

this status dates back to Dec. 30 (these notes were generated on Feb 10) and based on the completed GCMS files I saw in PhD thread, FSW-REG comes before APPEARS RVF:

LOCATION: FSW Jan - 7/11/2014 I sent the scan of new passport one day before this to them
- LOCATION: RK.... - 30/10/2014 I received the request to renew my passport and to send them the scan
- LOCATION: Appears RFV - 28/10/2014 (RFV? Does this stand for Ready or Review For Visa? :D)
- LOCATION: FSW-REG - 23/09/2014

- LOCATION: FSW-TQF - 28/05/2014 I guess I paid RPRF and send the requested Doc on this day
- LOCATION: --------- - 26/05/2014 The medical and Doc request (phd info) received on this day
- LOCATION: RK...... - 21/05/2014 According to ECAS they started processing my application on this day
- LOCATION: DS.... - 08/05/2014
- LOCATION: A900 - 13/05/2013
- LOCATION: REGISTRY - 10/05/2013
- LOCATION: IN Transit 06/05/2013
- LOCATION: A87-PhD - 29/04/2013

Thank you for your kindness. I called them today, and looks like they are still stuck at security. Appear RFV status means that all assessments (activities) are complete, including meds, crim and security (although it would be whited out in the file).

When were your notes genereted?

Everything depends on how quickly CSIS follows-up on security screening request. We had an August 19 applicant who received PPR yesterday.

I don't think that it is generally correct. My application reached CPC-Ottawa on Feb. 3 and it is stuck at FSW-REG at first place.

My file's movement looks like this:

Registry=>FSW-REG=>HD3=>CPC-O Program Integrity=>FSW-REG (latest location)

Next stop is APPEARS RFV=>FSW-APR (month abbreviation for final review by AD)=>PR Printing

TFR-Eligibility date is file transfer date, right? The thing is that there are applicants which their PER date is around Jan. 15 and still haven't heard anything back from CPC-Ottawa. This trend started since 2 or 3 weeks ago with no new MR for Phd stream applicants. That s why we started worrying! :(
