Hi all

I have a question, i finished my studies in Dec 2014, applied for my PGWP in feb, 2015 but i havent heard back on PGWP. I started working in Feb, at that time my org said it knows that CIC is taking time to issue WP but now all of a sudden they are terminating my employment saying that they cannot have emplyees working under implied status.

Can some one tell me what is the best option for me.

MY PR app is in progress, with medicals received last week. PLZ HELP.

Bro my position is the same.
Applied PGWP in Feb and waiting for PGWP and I will go on implied status after the last day of my existing study permit day. We cant do anything. You need to show them the CIC link that states that you can work until you get the decision.

And please share the good news with us next week! :) Did you have to send your PCC during this time that might have delayed the process?

Hey guys!! I got my PPR yesterday. :) :)
Thanks all.

Final academic session transition from off-campus work permits to post-graduation work permits

Students can apply for a post-graduation work permit during the 90-day transition period following the completion of their program of study (i.e., the date on which they receive a notification of completion) if they fulfil all of the requirements for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP).
They can continue to work off campus provided that they hold a valid study permit and have applied for a work permit under the PGWPP.
They may be a part-time student if the course load required to complete their program of study during the final academic session is part-time.
Students must cease working if their work permit application under the PGWPP is refused.

Non-compliance

Students who fail to comply with the terms and conditions of their study permits are considered non-compliant. Students who become ineligible and who do not cease working would be violating the conditions of their study permit. Non-compliance may also result in enforcement action taken by the Canada Border Services Agency, or invalidation of the study permit. It may also negatively affect future applications made under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and its regulations.

You should be allowed to work while on implied status. as long as you applied for your work permit before the one you currently have expire. you can read on it below

Just got RPRF, PCC and MR request - strangely from NDVO!
I was expecting it from CPC-O.
Any idea why my app was sent to NDVO?
I can send all requests to NDVO. I would however want my visa to be stamped in Canada. When would be the right time to request for this- should I wait till passport request?
How many days do VOs give for visa stamping?

Hello everyone,

I got my Passport Request - my timeline is on the left

I got held up because of USA PCC

USA PCC Received by CPC-O : Feb 10, 2015
PPR Request: March 16, 2015

itz_nsn could you please tell me exactly when you sent your FBI summary request and when you received it? I've just sent my request by Fedex today, and am getting really worried now.

Thanks a lot!!

Got my 2nd line update that they started processing my application on March 12th. Just wondering what this means exactly since they contacted me for additional documents in February. Shouldn't my processing date be February instead? Just curious.

Congrats Captain!

Thank You lyn!! :) :) ....It seems our timelines are matching virtually "to a T" Now we can check each others progress to ensure our files are proceeding smoothly ;)

Hi guys,
Diplomatru it is a question for you as you are in the same situation.
It is almost 2 months since we did medicals but still the third line is not updated. Medical results are good and uploaded by doctor. What I can do about it? How did you find out that they received your results? I called CIC help line but an agent said that my medical is not updated yet (he said it could be sent by doctor but not updated by officer). Maybe I asked not clearly because you got an answer that they received your medical. I took my results from the doctor and sent them to immigration by email maybe 2 weeks ago but no news. Also what could be the chances of rejection after medical?
