Hi everyone,

SO I have a problem here now, pretty serious!

I got the email from Ottawa for settlement funds. As per my knowledge, anyone residing in Canada ( I am on a work permit for last 1.5 years) do not require to show funding.

I have been on post-grad work permit since 2013 and worked for 1 year in NOC C and now in NOC B for last 6 months.

I genuinely do not have 11,000 in my account currently. Any suggestions please.

Thank you

Sorry to hear that :(

did they give you a reseon for the rejection? What does your ecas show?
No they didn't gave the rejection reason..i called cic n agent said they just want your updated address and your file is still in process..

Hi civilengr,

Sorry to hear this. Do you have any liquid assets in your name? Shares, Deposits, Property, Parents/ Relatives gifting you - if you can assess these legally from a lawyer, then i think you can claim it as Settlement funds. You can write it on a cover note that valuations are coming around XYZ CAD and you'll be using it for your settlement.

Or, you can challenge this request legally. I would go with former option to suffice the request. Just my 2 cents.

Hope your problem gets resolved soon.

hi laviyash,

Did you send any original document when they mentioned you only need to send copies or notarized copies? May be that's why they are asking for your address. Now when you've gotten the PER, this looks very strange to me.

Congratulations :)

@ Diplomatru : Can we also expect the PPR now? I beleive CIC would have received all our files too from CSIS.:)

Thanks
Snowboy

Bat's siguation is not applicable to the arrival of March's batch. He had a DM, which couldn't have taken place w/o security clearence been added to his file. I don't know the reason for the delay in PPR after that. He had DM status on second week of Feb., when the batch must have arrived to CPC.

True. In case of NER they retain the application.

Oh ok. Even My status has changed to decision made on Feb 19th.But still no PPR. So In this case, security clearance would have been already completed for me as well. :(

All of your assessments are complete by now. Your security screaning arrived on second week of February and the final review has already taken place. Imthink your PPR might arrive next week.

Hello Fellow Forumites,

I am a May 30th, 2014 applicant, NOC 1112. The last set of documents - FBI PCC were delivered to CPC-O on February, 3rd, 2015. Since then I have heard nothing back. Anyone else sailing in the same boat?
