@ rahulaanshi - You are right and here is my situation:

At the time of filing, I had mentioned my 2 dependents (Spouse & child) as"Non-Accompanying" - selected that option in the Generic Application form & only paid $550 initially, however now I need to make them as "Accompanying Dependents. We have already completed Medicals for all 3 of us and have had the 3rd line updated as well. For now, FBI PCC is the only piece pending which will take another couple of months.

I read it somewhere that if the application is before "Decision Made" stage, Dependents can be added, not sure if I can make them accompanying at this stage. If Yes, can someone pls guide me in the right direction and the steps involved as part of it. Thanks!

I think, the main concern was you paid for yours only and not for all dependents. I could not recall now but somewhere it was written that even if your dependent is not accompanying with you, you still have to pay their fees if they are coming to Canada in future. So, for CIC accompanying is just a question of if any dependent is coming with you at your first landing..!

Big concern is you have not paid application fees and RPRF for your dependent. SO, I think you can send them a letter of request with all attachments. Attach your old form copy and highlight word 'Not Accompanying'. Also attach new form copy and write 'Accompanying' and refer both in your letter. Also send check of fees for dependent and tell Medical for them already done. Request them to allow you to consider this and pay for RPRF.

scan above copies and send via email first stating hard copies will be sent.

I feel rahulaanshi said is the rightway to do.

And also post this issue on FSWP 2014 forum. You will find so many members with similar type of issues. (This thread is limited CPC-O)

Call CIC and talk to them first ASAP.
I know it is not so complicated. But better act proactively.

Thanks @pssreddy25 & @rahulaanshi - Will do! I just called up CIC and she advised me to send a note to CPC for it.

Guys I am newbie here and I need an urgent reply to 3 questions, please help me with your experience and knowledge

I received PPR from CPC-Ottawa and since I am residing at Kuwait, I sent CPC-Ottawa an email asking to transfer visa printinng to Abu Dhabi Embassy.

My questions are

1) How long it is expected to take to hear from Abu Dhabi Embassy?
2) What is the minimum period any one experienced?
3) If I submitted my passports to a friend at Canada to finalize through CPC-Ottawa, is it allowable for him to receive my passports when they are sent back after stamping?

I need to finalize ASAP because I have a duty trip soon.

Hi Jignesh,

I submitted last week of December. Need to send explanation to CIC. I am ready with India PCC, waiting for China PCC and FBI.
And RPRF should be paid after PCC or does it matter?

You can pay RPRF at any point once CPC requests. Once paid, you can email the receipt to CPC.
I applied for FBI on 2nd December and till date no news. Luckily I had applied earlier also and got FBI in July last year so used that. You can ask for extension to CPC once you are nearing 60 days limit. lot of applicants have done that and CPC knows about FBI delays so they will easily grant you extension.

Dear MeGo
1) How long it takes to get stamped in Kuwait depends on 2 factors. CPC-O has to send a request to Kuwait embassy for VISA stamping. It may take 10-15 days. Kuwait embassy has to act on the CPC-O request and ask you to submit passports.(This we don’t have any clue, but it may take 20-30 days as we see similar cases at other embosses)
2) If you can make arrangement to get VISA stamped through a friend in Canada is easy if you have close friends.

CPC will not give you any reply. The best way to forward the email which u have been received for PPR to The visa section at Canadian Embassy at Kuwait. They are authorized to print visa

Not sure why, but seems that people are getting confused with what it means to list a family member as "accompanying." Simply put, all the accompanying dependents get PR the same time as the principal applicant. So, application fees need to be paid for accompanying dependents. Non-accompanying dependents DO NOT need to pay application fees since they will not get PR the same time as the principal applicant. Instead, they will have apply for PR separately later on if they are ever to become Canadian PR.

To Destinationca, your application is almost over now, so if you decide to add your spouse and child as "accompanying" now, you should take actions right away. You should send CSE to CIC (which you have done) and also email/contact your VO as suggested. You can also proactively send the additional documents to the VO to make the process faster. This should include 1) a coverletter, 2) the application fees for both of them, 3) updated immigration forms where you update your dependents from "non-accompanying" to "accompanying", and 4) RPRF fees for the spouse if you have already paid yours.

What is the latest MR for CPC Ottawa?

PER on 9th Dec
No 2nd line update or MR yet..
The spreadsheet says PER to MR avg is 40 days..

Are MRs sent by NOC Code or in the order in which the application was received?
My NOC is 2171
