I think, the main concern was you paid for yours only and not for all dependents. I could not recall now but somewhere it was written that even if your dependent is not accompanying with you, you still have to pay their fees if they are coming to Canada in future. So, for CIC accompanying is just a question of if any dependent is coming with you at your first landing..!Destinationca said:@ rahulaanshi - You are right and here is my situation:
At the time of filing, I had mentioned my 2 dependents (Spouse & child) as"Non-Accompanying" - selected that option in the Generic Application form & only paid $550 initially, however now I need to make them as "Accompanying Dependents. We have already completed Medicals for all 3 of us and have had the 3rd line updated as well. For now, FBI PCC is the only piece pending which will take another couple of months.
I read it somewhere that if the application is before "Decision Made" stage, Dependents can be added, not sure if I can make them accompanying at this stage. If Yes, can someone pls guide me in the right direction and the steps involved as part of it. Thanks!
Big concern is you have not paid application fees and RPRF for your dependent. SO, I think you can send them a letter of request with all attachments. Attach your old form copy and highlight word 'Not Accompanying'. Also attach new form copy and write 'Accompanying' and refer both in your letter. Also send check of fees for dependent and tell Medical for them already done. Request them to allow you to consider this and pay for RPRF.
scan above copies and send via email first stating hard copies will be sent.
