Experienced friends,

is it compulsory if i put cpc-ottawa as immigration office (answer to question no.4), is it compulsary to travel ottwa to attend visa interview?

or can we mention just USA as immigartion office so that they may ask to attend some visa office at usa

Please advice

Thanks

I have read in the forum that folks have selected New York as their application center and the VISA officers have changed it to Ottawa. If you are in US, you can only choose Ottawa.

Thanks for your reply rambojuda .

My friend has selected "USA" as visa office and sent her application today

If visa officer changes to cpc-ottawa with out rejecting , may be i will put "1.USA(prefreably) 2. CPC-OTTWA as answer to question no.4

Thanks

Goodluck, hope it works out.

Guys,

For Ottawa's PPR; do they ask the applicant to send passport to Ottawa?

My local office is Cairo, however Cairo files are processed in Ottawa!

Thanks

i live in us for a while and my visa office is CPC-O .. all the canadian residence and US ppl will have this visa office .. so dont worry.. normally interview will be waived if you are in US .. :)
right now No visa office for USA .. hence use CPC-O

I received MR on Oct 31st. I completed Medicals on Nov 3rd and got E-CAS 3rd line updated with "Medicals received" on Nov 14th.
I e-mailed RPRF receipt to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca. Is that the right way to complete the RPRF payment? Experts, please answer.

CIC wants me to submit recent 6 mo bank statement, MR and FBI police check on Septemeber 25. I fedexed all of them on Oct 23.. I also sent them an email to let them know that.
No response since then. Shall I send them another email?

I think you should wait untill u get reply from them .. they generally take a month or little bit more to respond to email.

Hi pdhillon ,

In Generic Application Form for Canada(IMM0008ENU_2D), Question no.4 -Immigration office requested for processing this application-

Can I mention USA ,beacsue i am currenlty in USA.

If I mention CPC-OTTAWA, Do i need to travel Canada for visa interview? I want to attaned visa interview at USA only.

Please suggest

Thanks

Just be positive .... u wont get interview call as 98% of applications in FSW don't get interviews... ;) and yes u should use CPC - O as ur VO

Folks I got Question

Is it necessary to maintain status in the country .... like a valid Work permit or any other status.... if we are using that country VO ..?

Dont worry about VISA processing office.
It is not an option for FSW candidates any more (Option is taken out from the Main application form).
Even if you select a wrong processing center, Case officer will change the VO as per your eligibility.
I did not see any case being rejected due to wrong VO selection.
However, if you are in USA and you want Visa to process in USA, select CPC-O.

Case processing office is responsible for Stamping.
PPR E-Mail will give you clear instructions, where to send your passport.

What you did is 100% right.
Please also send a scanned copy of RPRF receipt including your correspondence details as a safe option.
