PDhillion thanks for starting this thread.

My time line:-

FSW2 app recd 26th May
CC Charge 10th Sept
PER 17th Sept
MR & RPRF request 31st Oct
Medical done 3rd Nov
RPRF paid 3rd Nov
ECAS shows medical's recd 11th Nov

No movement on ECAS or response from CIC since 11th Nov

How can I know by checking ECAS if receipt is linked to my application?

Email the office to check the status of your application including your application details

Hi guys,

First, I would like to thank you all for participating :).

My application was received on May 8 and PER was August 14th. Now, there is no medical nor there is any change to my online status. I am NOC 2132, a friend of mine with application received at May 14, NOC 2173 also in the same position. We are both Cairo Visa office applicants and all applications to Cairo visa office were transferred to CPC-Ottawa.

Now, I have noticed that CPC-Ottawa some how is working by NOCs. But I couldn't figure out how. For an example, for NOC 2173, MR was received until the first week of June, however for my friend and others were not. As for NOC 2132, the situation is even more interesting, as No MRs were received for a while now!

Patience is a virtue, they say, but it is also driving me crazy :), Should I email, CPC-Ottawa to check if they have received my application? Is there anything else I can do?

I am afraid, that my application might end up be left to last (like when all other applications are processed). Does, anyone actually know how does CPC-Ottawa queue their files (or is it a stack, not a queue :) )

Thanks, guys! I was about to go crazy, and wanted to speak my heart out...

There is no other faster way.
You have to communicate by Email or Case Specific Enquiary.
CPC-O takes about 30-40 days to respond the query.

Got my passport back stamped. Good luck everyone!

Hello All

I got an email from Citizenship_and_Immigration_Canada@cic.gc.ca today .. dont understand what that is for ..

here is the content

Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request:

When filling up the Come to Canada eligibility tool, the system will ask you a series of questions to verify if you meet the minimum requirements to submit your application online. If you are eligible to submit an online application, you will be provided with a unique reference number, known as the Personal Checklist Code (PCC).

The PCC will generate a tailored, streamlined document checklist you will need to follow whether you submit your application online or by mail.

The PCC is valid for 60 days. If you cannot provide the document within that period you must:

Fill out the Come to Canada eligibility tool to obtain another PCC, or
Answer a series of questions directly from your MyCIC account to help you determine if you can submit an online application.

Can anyone pls tell me what is this ?

thanks

This is awful customer service. Did you ask them about the police certificate? What you have received is information about their online application system for applying to visas that can be applied online. It is completely unrelated to FSW. You can ignore this reply.

Funny...!
This process is for lodging normal VISA applications (Not PR's)
As they have repeatedly specified PCC, Is shall be assumed that you have asked them about Police Clearance Certificate.
They might have misinterpreted your question...!

Send another query, with clear wording of 'Police Clearance Certificate"

thanks ... :D

ok i will send another one ..

When did you send your questions to CPC-O?
How much time did it take for CPC-O to answer your question?
Did you use their email address for contacting this visa office?

They generally take a month or so to respond to email.
