I called CIC, and they refuse to give me any answer due to my application has less than 11 months form the receiving date.mohit7269 said:How did it go?

That is true. The 11 months should be counted from the date application was received. I am guessing if you filed on Oct 24th, the date they received your application won't be too far along.PyrocasterX90 said:Hello Fellow FSWites
I called the call center today since it was 11 months since I filed app (filing on Oct 24th). Here are results:
1) Call center rep said that the 11 months is not from date of application, but date CPC-O receives it (i.e. PER/AOR date) - I'm not sure if this is accurate, but its what she said.
Well, this email tells us we still need wait and have no idea how long we have to wait.......Kerdek said:Hi guys,
I sent an email last week asking them to update me on my current status as it's beenaround 2 months since my third line popped up . Below is their response:
Dear Sir/Madam,
The information you provided has been updated in our system. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.
Please be advised that no further action is required of you at this time. If additional documents are needed, an officer will be in touch with you shortly. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application.
We appreciate your patience and keeping correspondence with our office to a minimum and up to date. In order to process request efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.

I also got the same response from the callcenterPyrocasterX90 said:Hello Fellow FSWites

2) Asked for last communication from VO
3) The call center rep still said that she would peek into the application
3) Said all documents received (VO had asked for resubmission/clarification of some docs, which I provided in August)
4) Said background checks are in progress
5) End
On one hand it looks like they are doing 'something', however on the other hand I had gotten email from VO saying application is almost complete and in queue for a final review. :| - I have no idea what this means.
Any other stories? Hope everyone has a good day.
Thanks,

As far as I am concerned CIC just quote arbitrary processing times (e.g 11 months). Because I find it very difficult to believe that they are ACTIVELY processing FSW 2014 applications as they should, for such period of time. Think about it, which of the stages would cause that much delay ('background check', medical report assessment, overall review)? As for me I cannot see it. For background check (which I consider would be their excuse for delay), only if they go to seek information on the streets where the applicants live/lived would it take them (CIC) several months to complete the check.southpaw86 said:That is true. I guess this is a common pattern for the mail which they reply for a email query mine is almost the same.Kerdek said:Hi guys,

CIC never updates the RPRF status on ECAS .pkkp said:Hi, I am new to this thread. Does anyone know if CIC updates the status to RPRF is paid? Or is it after Medicals received status, they directly update status to decision made?
