If you have confirmed and solid proof of Employment, it is not needed.
But for backup reasons I would advice you to have the Proof of Funds as needed. (They may check the employment offer upon your entry in case you don't have the funds and the employer may need to confirm it to them. Again this is completely on the officers decision)

No. The only way to dodge POF is

Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, or you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.

You're right. Finally some movement. Although I am not sure if it is related or not but I had raised a CSE last week and had also received a response to that along with an email from attorney. But it did happen.
I believe he received the request at some point this afternoon. I had talked to him at noon and he didn't have anything then.

It's been nine months since they received my application and two months after my third line update.

Since there is no accumulating of application under the old system, hopefully they can keep within the time frame (11 months) as indicated on CIC website.

Ottawa is busy processing applications of the Syrian refugees. Elections are coming and Harper wants to get all the votes that he can.

Ottawa is busy processing applications of the Syrian refugees. Elections are coming and Harper wants to get all the votes that he can.

That sounds like a valid point. The numbers show that Conservatives are down and I am sure this could be part of their last minute effort to win over some votes. Sad for us though. Everything keeps landing at Ottawa.

It took 31 days from mine being uploaded before I got TLU. Hang in there. Things seems to have slowed down in Ottawa processing.

It has been 58 days since I got TLU and nothing since.

According to the PhD Stream thread, some applicants got their PPRs around Aug. 10th. That probably mean CIC do work on our files, though with a pretty slow speed. Also lots applicants never came to our forum, then we know nothing about their application process. Anyway, let's keep in faith and good luck to all of us waiting here 8) ;D
