Bro, very good questions and we have to start thinking from now.
I think they are al related to each other as when you plan to land would lead to will you take your family with you or not in the first trip as they may be in school.
Securing a job there is the most important step and you know how difficult it is to find a job there or to find a job when applying from outside Canada ...
Till now I don't have clear answers in my head .. but I think we all need to read more about past experiences ...

a-will you first land alone then bring your family later
b-will you land with your family and you all return after some time
c-will you land with your family and they will return for some time while you stay

I think most of us have no jobs waiting for them there, so we will just land and begin our new life struggle there. I'am trying to find out other opinion and choices to be able to make the right choice
for myself I cant decide the suitable time yet but for the plan so far I prefer (a)
