I called up CIC and got UCI number for my file. But, when I entered my information against the UCI number, I am seeing the below page description. Can any one please explain me the meaning of this.

"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not begun processing it yet. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:
Application Processing Times
At this time, you may use this on-line service if you have:
sponsored a member of the family class;
applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
applied for a permanent resident card (replacement or renewal);
applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
applied to resume Canadian citizenship."

try playing around with your name and surname in the name field....Sometimes system take with first name, other times second name and even at times full name...so keep on trying..is UCI an 8 digit number? good luck

My file received on 8th August.... DD charged on 21st November... NOC 1114... Still waiting for PER.... Am I rejected! Pls any one say something.... Waiting waiting and waiting.... Regards

hold your horses mate.....and wait for good news...don't assume until you hear.... try calling cic and obtain uci # if possible....g'luck

Hi there, I assume you asked for your UCI number from CIC prior to receiving your PER? You'd only see a status in ECAS after you receive your PER-- after the IO finished reviewing your whole application / documents. Please check ECAS after receiving your PER email.

Thats true. I have got the UCI number before I got the PER number. But, I am wondering if I can use this UCI number to know if my application is rejected for what ever may be the reason.

Is your DD already encashed? If yes, then you really have to wait for CIC's email, a PER (Positive Eligibility Review) or NER (Negative Eligibility Review), to know the status of your application, and start using and seeing updates in ECAS.

If your DD is NOT encashed yet, I suggest for you to click the link that was in the ECAS page on the Processing Times if your waiting time already exceeded their committed timeframe to process your application. Only then you can email CIC to inquire about the status of your application. It may also be helpful to check the current status of the NOC you applied in, as there are several NOC codes that has reached its cap limit already...

No more news after that.
How long it might take to receive the first letter from now?

How many times did you call them untill u got through. I have been calling for several times it always says there is no available operator now please try later.

I am 20 Aug 2014 applicant I use Demand Draft from SABB bank and want to check it is encashed or not, I went to branch who issued DD, upon checking the agent said it Seems not encashed he is not sure, Is there any one have SABB Demand Draft and got confirmation from them, I also email them but no reply. Do any one have same situation?

My documents were received by Nova Scotia on Aug 8th 2014. I received my PER mail on December 1st. Anyone who knows what would be the next steps and also how much time will it take approximately to get through each step.
