Great Things To Do In Toronto

  • Go over the edge = 90-minute drive from Toronto, but Niagara Falls is well worth the trip. Watching close to 750,000 gallons of water a second hurtle down the curved cliffs is sure to impress, take flight with Niagara Helicopters and soar over the falls, plus, you're standing on the Canadian- United States border, the longest international border in the world
  • Survey the wide blue yonder = It's impossible to visit Toronto without seeing the CN Tower, mainly because at 553.33 metres high (1,815.4 feet) it dominates the landscape.
  • Take in some history = Toronto is full of museums, like the Royal Ontario Museum, which houses a massive collection of cultural and historical items, as well as rotating exhibitions, or the Bata Shoe Museum, with over 13,000 footwear items in their collection.
  • Scare yourself fit = But why not get out and explore? It might not be 100 per cent the truth, but the Haunted Walk offers up some spooky tales and gory facts from days gone by
  • Shop until you drop = Toronto Eaton Centre is jammed with shops, from high street brands to more chi chi designers. looking for that special buy? Twice a year the One of a Kind Show, the largest consumer craft show in North America, takes over. Everything sold at the show is hand made in North America, much of it local, and all of it awesome.
  • Eat your way around the world = Almost half the population of Toronto was born outside Canada, so it is entirely possible to take your tummy on a trip around the world without ever leaving the city limits. Head to Chinatown, Little India, Little Italy and more to stuff your face, or sample fusion cuisine like the Hungary Thai.
  • See a big show = head to Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, which promotes experimental and queer theatre, or head to the yearly Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival, where many big names first got their start.
  • Get the giggles = Canada has produced some notable funny folks, and many got their start at Toronto's Second City.
  • Dance the night away = Head to the Entertainment District for one of the most concentrated party scenes in the world, with upwards of 30,000 clubbers on any given Saturday night.
  • Play with the Pandas = The Toronto Zoo is the largest zoo in Canada, and this year got an extra-special addition to their 5,000 animals: two giant Pandas, Er Shun and Ji Li, on load from Beijing until 2018.
  • Be Amused = If rollercoasters are your thing, look no further than Canada's Wonderland, Toronto's top amusement park just outside the city with loads of rides.
  • Hit a Victorian Patio = Where are some of the best pubs in Toronto hiding? The Distillery District. Formerly the home of the largest distillery in the world.
  • Be the King of Kensington = Kensington Market is hands down on of our favourite neighbourhoods in a city full of diverse neighbourhoods. A bohemian mix of the weird and wonderful, this is where you'll find vintage shops, record stores, cafes and hipster underground speak easys.
  • Go Back in Time = Just outside Toronto, be transported back to a 19th century village. Black Creek Pioneer Village is a restored village (many of the buildings were moved from other sites or reconstructed on the original locations), inhabited by costumed historical re-enactors.

Question for NDVO guys.
CAn I submit my passport through Speedpost instead go to VFS, as I'm staying in vadodara and just to submit passport I'll have to travel to Ahemadabad.
If I can send through Speedpost, What's the procedure to get it back to my place?
Also, If I submit passport to VFS, do I need to go there again to collect my passport back?
Please advice.

If the applicant has chosen VFS as mode of Passport Transmission and selected courier services as dispatch method. Then they will receive Visa Stamped Passports and COPR will be sent through courier.

If the applicant has chosen VFS as mode of Passport Transmission and wishes to collect Passport himself from VFS Center. They will receive a notification that their Passport is ready for collection. They can visit the VFS Center and collect the Passports along with CoPR.

To collect passports for dependents. The person who is collecting the Passport from VFS Center should submit an authorization letter from the dependents authorizing them to collect the PP on their Behalf

If the applicant has sent the Passports through Normal Courier services or normal speed post. They will return the Passports to applicants after Visa Stamping along with CoPR through Speed Post

Hope this answers your question

Someone reported sending their passports through Bluedart directly to NDVO... You have got the PPR? Have they given you both options?

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Anyone who has taken the DD from Icici bank for CAD dollars and the cheque was issued from Bank Of Montreal on the name of "Receiver general for Canada" ? I want to know how they got to know their cheque is encashed or not ? is that by calling the customer care or visiting the bank ???

When I went to bank all they are saying is cheque is not returned so that means either it is encashed or they are yet to encash ? This is a confusing update I get from them.

Congratulations Lucky ipsinghg

Wish you speedy PPR and a great life ahead in Canada

+ 1 to you.

Thanks for the useful information..

One more question, what may be the risk of paying through credit card..

Actually I have paid my application fee through DD only, as I felt that may be the safest option since i dont want to take chances if they try to charge and gets failed in 3 transactions.

But now, directly amount get transacted and we will get receipt right ? so, what may be the risk ?

I am asking this just to know whether I am going in wrong direction ? Nothing cross questioning here..

Please guide me.

+1 sk1984indian for the work <applause>

After reading this I remember that I did not attach a cover letter nor mention the UCI number or Application Number in any other document apart from RPRF receipt.

I think I should stop worrying about it and expect the 3rd line to be updated soon :) :) :)

Dear gopi09_m, s i've taken my DD from ICICI bank only, for which the Cheque was issued from the Bank of Montreal as mentioned by you. To know your status, you can directly call the person who did this job for you and tell him to let you know" whether your DD is encashed or Not, If Encashed then on which day", am sure that you will get your result.

By the way share your time line too.. Gopi..
