I wouldnt have done that my friend. CIO does not garantee addition of addendum documents. Suggest u to send CSE to both CIO and local VO asking the status of ur addendum docs. If they say that they were not added. Better ask for new pcc...

Need help here?
My application was received by CIO Sydney on 4th July 2014.
CC was charged on 21st October.
PCC were sent by DHL to CIO Sydney on 31st Oct 2014
PCC received by Mr. M. KRSZWDA
PER email received on 16th November
My Visa Office (VO) is London

Q1 – Will my PCC be transferred along with file to London VO or do I have to follow up with CIO?

Police Certificates were issued on following dates:
UAE PCC dated 30th June 2014
FBI certificate dated 11th September 2014

Q2 – Do I need to request new PCC for any of the above?

Thanks

OK. So the whole file has been returned.

August 5 applicant. NOC 5125. CC charged Nov 15th. My Ecas was in process from Nov 26th - this is the day when most Aug5th got their PERs. Suddenly Dec 11th, my ECAS disappeared. (Yes. it does happen!)

I am grateful that I received by package back quickly (as I am in Canada) and that I will be able to re-apply before the end of this year. They will be refunding my credit card. I am grateful for that too! CIC did not accept 1 year of my 10 years of translation experience as I am an independent translator. I have been accepted to sit for ATIO entrance exam after applying to FSW - which requires 4 years of full-time experience of the recent 5years, 100,000words a year. So I will try and provide this information. Then maybe they will accept it. I don't think I have time to prepare anything else.

Just sharing the news for those waiting for PER, if you are waiting beyond the normal timeline; submit a new application. Good luck to everyone. I certainly need it.

Dear collegue, I'm very sorry to hear this. Could you please elaborate a little, because I did not quite understand your situation (I myself am a freelancer, and year of my freelance may come to play important role in my case). You have 10 years of translation experience, 1 of which as a freelance translator, and your file was returned because of that one year? What about the rest 9 years? It doesn't make sense to me. Thanks!

Thanks a ton Century for taking the time to reply.
However i am a tad little confused about getting my degree and marksheets attested from my college / institute instead of the University.
WES has not been of much help (no response to mail / phone call as well).

Is it ok to get the engineering degree attested from college and not the University?

Thanks in advance.
Dear Jigsaw,
Below followed by me and i have already got the PER.
1. I m holding B.Tech from MD University Haryana and MBA from GJU Hissar. I have taken photocopies of my marksheets and degree along with original.
2. Went to Controller of Exam / Registrar Office/ Result Department - Got those copies attested.
3. Sealed copies along with WES Reference No (Which you will get after paying on WES). Put stamp on the closing of the envelope.
4. Send the same to WES.
5. With in two day of courier receipt they will send ECA Report.

You can attach Transcript too. But in my case i have just sent Mark sheets and Degree.

All the best.

For those with IELTS results being released on or after 23rd December.

The holiday season and harsh weather (snow fall) means that delivery may get delayed till 1st Jan, 2015. Not a good sign, You guys have 2 options:
1. Send ur app now and mention in your cover letter that you will be sending IELTS within few days. Then in send IELTS report ASAP. In this scenario, if the IELTS report gets attached (chances are 90%), hopefully CIC will consider ur app for FSW 14. Previously, candidates have been able to get addendums attached to their original apps, when they provided enough details in the addendum cover letter to identify the original. The only issue here is “if it will be considered to be received before or after 1st Jan, 2015”.
2. Wait for IELTS score and send it by hand. You can get in touch with someone flying to Canada (preferably Nova Scotia / Toronto / Quebec), who can send it locally (which will also take at least 2 days) . You can locate such person through friends or Travel agent. I understand that it will be difficult for you to convince someone to take such a heavy package for u (due to security concerns) but can be worth a try, if u don't want to take risk of mentioned in point 1. However, this option also has its own risk i.e. (a) IELTS result may get delayed [some candidates are randomly selected for Audit, which adds 1-2 weeks] and (b) snow storm can still delay the delivery.
Analyse you situation and take calculated risks. All the best.

Any volunteer for help please!!!

Dear Friends
I am about to send my application in a couple of days and have a few queries regarding generic application form - IMM0008. Would appreciate if you can answer as per your experiene.

1) My full name only appears as my given name in my passport as I dont have any family or surname. Same is true with my spouse also as she is also not having family name. In this case shall I leave family name column blank? I Tried leaving family name blank but if done so "applicant name" field remains blank for my form?Is it advisable to leave it blank? write Not Applicable or N/A in that field.

2) I dont have UCI number as I am applying first time and also no fax number. But there is no option to write NA in this. To be left blank? Right? leave blank they'll alott a number to you. Only previous applicants or individuals who travelled to Canada will have a UCI number if you aren't one for those then just leave blank.

3) Which is the national identity document if applying from India? if you have an aadhar card put doing that number and attach a certified copy with the application along with other mandatory documents.

4) If certified degrees are obtained by appearing privately or through correspondence studies, then those number of years should be included in ""number of years of education in total" or not? Yes it should be included.

What should be written in case of children studying in nursery class? Should this be counted towards education years?Write Not applicable

To whom should the cover letter be addressed if we want to clarify any issue by explaining our viewpoint?Centralised Intake Office

Would appreciate your responses as I got late and applying at last moment with the help of this forum on my own. sincere thanks in advance for the replies.

Diplo, there are others who have got 21 for such similar reports as WES has mentioned "IN CONJUNCTION" with earlier degree for both higher degrees.
Will be really happy if he get 22 though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even with those conjunctions, he's got:

1. Canadian Equivalency:- Diploma (two years) in conjunction with Canadian Equivalency:- Bachelor's degree (three years) and Canadian Equivalency:- Bachelor's degree (four years)
2. Canadian Equivalency:- Diploma (two years)

So, to sum up: Bachelor's degree (four years) + Diploma (two years)

I'm asking once again: If this doesn't get 22 points, then what does? What are 22 points awarded for, if not for this?
IMHO it's 22 points
