thank q... i just got information from one of the forumites that even when dubai pcc shows validity as 3 months,cic generally considers the validty as 1 year as for different countries the validty differs for eg: 3 months or 6 months as in india...

If you have a police clearance before from uae anf you nevet returned to that country after, you can use that policr clearance even if it is expired. I know 2 from out country and.just explained the situation. I myself would be doing the same.

My IELTS result hard copy will be deliverd to me by 23rd Dec. I have below questions in my mind.

1. What are the chances of my file to reach there as so many holidays in between ?
2. Is it possible to send file without IELTS, Once I get result with send it too ?

Please give advise.

Very thin as the courier itself takes 5-7 days to reach (if all goes well).
2. Is it possible to send file without IELTS, Once I get result with send it too ?
Don't send it without IELTS as it will be rejected.

Please give advise.
You should send your application the moment you receive your IELTS. Its worth taking the risk if you have prepared everything else for your application. The only thing you will loose is the courier charge if it is not accepted however, who knows that due to holidays, CIC might have a slight time extension released at the last moment.

I am getting a little worried about the status of my application. I received my PER on Oct 4 and since then there's been no news from LVO. Any idea? The only issue that I can think of is that my wife and I have spent more than 6 months in 3 countries. Will that delay the background checks?

Only send with DHL, no other services.
You can trust only DHL, they delivered my file in only 4 days and fedex takes 6-7 days.

I am about to send my application in a couple of days and have a few queries regarding generic application form - IMM0008. Would appreciate if you can answer as per your experiene.

1) My full name only appears as my given name in my passport as I dont have any family or surname. Same is true with my spouse also as she is also not having family name. In this case shall I leave family name column blank? I Tried leaving family name blank but if done so "applicant name" field remains blank for my form?Is it advisable to leave it blank?

2) I dont have UCI number as I am applying first time and also no fax number. But there is no option to write NA in this. To be left blank? Right?

3) Which is the national identity document if applying from India?

4) If certified degrees are obtained by appearing privately or through correspondence studies, then those number of years should be included in ""number of years of education in total" or not? What should be written in case of children studying in nursery class? Should this be counted towards education years?

To whom should the cover letter be addressed if we want to clarify any issue by explaining our viewpoint?

Would appreciate your responses as I got late and applying at last moment with the help of this forum on my own. sincere thanks in advance for the replies.
