I was trying to explain the same earlier today. I do not needed a consultant and also I encourage people to look into the forum before thinking on hiring one. But for some persons it might be impossible to do all the process by their own and a lawyer might be a good choice. BUT A GOOD CONSULTANT not a cheater that knows nothing....idefix said:Just to give an opposing view, I've hired a Canadian Lawyer to help me with this process.
I thought that he helped me a lot. I still used the forum for several things and to understand the process better.
But he made me realize that Job Descriptions and Reference Letters were so important, and made me write them over and over again until they were very clear and complete. He also pushed me to find all the supporting documents possible.
I'm still a long while to get my PER, so I don't know how efficient he was. I even know a forumite that had a problem with him, so I know he is far from being perfect.
But his support made me much more confident in my Application.
