It depends. If PCC is/are submitted to CIO along with application, they do criminality check on basis of available information. See Dmitrych GCMS 2014 notes timeline, for instance.

If the documents look strong they rarely initiate additional checks. We have seen very-very few reports from applicants' who came to know of an email submitted to employer for verification.

Here we go again.
You don't have to agree or disagree really. This information is readily available. Just take a sample of GCMS notes from a corresponding thread, and see the timelines. VO follows a strict pattern, it's a pretty boring job As per PPR I already explained it, but here we go again. It is issued against completion of Security check. You can see my follow-up on a query to learn more about it a few pages back. Alternatively you can do your own reading - google 'enf 1 inadmissibility'.

I noticed that checklist and generic form have changed dates but changes in content are not applicable to me.

I am getting mixed replies regarding this.

Someone experienced please suggest what i should do ?

when was your application received at CIC? currently they are sending out PER for applications dated 13th August...

There seems to be less chances of you making the CAP as the official figures are at 624 and most probably these are only for applications till July end.
But keep your hopes open..
