I HAVE ALREADY SENT MY PCC WITH MY APPLICATION

If you have already submitted PCC then why should they request PCC again. The mail might be a standard template.

For definite answer you share the contents of the email

CONSIDER CHANGING UR PROFILE NAME ...

IT MISLEADS

lot of things mislead you in life so instead of changing things which may not be in your scope you yourself should be careful, attentive and patient while analysing the data and take decision as per your situation.

:)

i don't think it is possible to change your username, or is it ?

and can you please stop writing in CAPITALS and using BOLD

it states you are shouting ... :)

PCC validity is 3 months and for some countries 6 months ... not more than that.

Seems like a slow day at CIC no App charges today?

Hi Friends,

Just sharing with all the PCC process for friends who are applying for it.. I got my PER on 18th Nov. I had filled up the online form on www.passportindia.gov.in for my wife and me. I did not pay the fee online and neither did I book any appointment as I was asked not to do so by the customer care. I visited PSK yesterday at 8:30 am and I got PCC stamped on my passport at 1:00 pm. They have also given a certificate signed by the passport officer. In my case, the passport officer did not ask for any other document except a copy of passport (as my address in the passport and my current address is same). Thank GOD, I had recently renewed my passport and got my wife's passport with spouse name printed on it, so the address on both of our passport were current.
Some of the PSK might ask you for the document checklist, as I had read in one of the post, although I was not asked to produce any other document. And yes, you don't even require to carry your photograph as it is captured at the PSK. This may not be such a short process, however, if the address in your passport is different from your current address.

All the best for your PCC.

Regards,
Arka

Hi Arka

Interesting to read that. Just checking which is your PSK..? Second, as you said the PCC is stamped on the passport, what I understand it has to be a certificate issued by PSK, is that the one you are referring to when you say teh cert stamped by the passport officer. Is it possible to share the PCC template.

Yes you are lucky only cause you recently renewed passport.
As per PSK, if your passport issue date is not older then 1 year, you will get the PCC same day
However If your present address same as in your passport and Passport is more than 1 year old, They would rarely give you PCC same day. The reason is their system do not show police verification if passport is more than 1 year old. So they sent verification request to SP office your area and once PSK got clear report from SP office they issue PCC. it takes maximum One month not more than that.

Thanks brother for this info...moreover, in my case even though my address in passport was different, I got my PCC in hand within 2 hours same day. I had submitted, 2 proof of current residence and even I was thinking since my address in passport is different, PCC would take time for verification. To my surprise, they gave me 2 copies of PCC signed my PSK authority. When I asked them wouldn't they need to do any enquiry or verification they said, all clear sir, this is your PCC.

I took this from Bangalore PSK.

Hello Kris
When you get PCC from PSK, they will write ARN number on passport page and put stamp and signature even they will write the issue date.
Without this page at delhi airport , Immigration officer will not allow you to depart . So please do not forget to have it on your passport when you go to take your PCC at PSK.

That is assuring...Could you please tell me which PSK office you went? Lalbagh or ORR? The address on my passport is different to where I live currently. Could you please provide the procedure?

your application will be rejected due to old form, so immediately send the updated form to CIC at the same address. Mention all your details so that CIC people can match your previous application with your new form.

also send an email to CIC updating them that you have sent the new form and they should align that form with your old application.

one of my friend did the same thing and CIC replied to him confirming that his new docs are being matches to his application.

Not a single rejection based on use of old forms this year. Personally got positive eligibility determination with May forms submitted in late July.

I doubt the claim made here. What about those who got their PCC from Commissioner's office and not from PSK. There is not any stamping in passport if one takes PCC from Commissioner's office
