Hi everyone. Please, maybe some one can help me end edvise exactly what to do.

My application package received CIC on the 6th of november. All the forms were signed on the 1st of november. (i mean i dated all the forms 11/01/2014).
The problem is, that i have just realised, that i sent Document checklist form, which is dated to 08-2014. I didnt noticed, that the new one was updated on 24 of october. So, now i am very terrified that my app will be rejected because of the old form.

Please suggest me how to behave. May i send the new form? If YES, how and where i should do that.

Thank you very much in advance!

I just would like to share my experience to encourage people who are planning to do without the consultant. I submitted my application on my own without help from anyone else except CIC website and this wonderful forum.

Since the day I submitted my application for ICAS (yes, I went for ICAS on mistake but it turned out wonderful.), I have been on this forum every single day reading all the questions and answers from the members. I take mental note of those important points and learn the process such as translation of documents etc.

There is no silly question on this forum as long as someone (ppl like me) learn from each other.

I try to contribute as much as I can for queries that I am confident to answer and will continue do so.

All the best to all of you. I am so glad that I have found this forum in this journey.

Dear emerald89,

Could you please share your timeline of getting ECA from ICAS. Like when all of your documents reached at ICAS? And when they issued ECA?

Thanks and regards, George

Hi Friends,

Just sharing with all the PCC process for friends who are applying for it.. I got my PER on 18th Nov. I had filled up the online form on www.passportindia.gov.in for my wife and me. I did not pay the fee online and neither did I book any appointment as I was asked not to do so by the customer care. I visited PSK yesterday at 8:30 am and I got PCC stamped on my passport at 1:00 pm. They have also given a certificate signed by the passport officer. In my case, the passport officer did not ask for any other document except a copy of passport (as my address in the passport and my current address is same). Thank GOD, I had recently renewed my passport and got my wife's passport with spouse name printed on it, so the address on both of our passport were current.
Some of the PSK might ask you for the document checklist, as I had read in one of the post, although I was not asked to produce any other document. And yes, you don't even require to carry your photograph as it is captured at the PSK. This may not be such a short process, however, if the address in your passport is different from your current address.

All the best for your PCC.

Regards,
Arka

PER Received. Spreadsheet updated.

NOC: 1123
Application Received Date: Aug 1, 2014
Fee cashing date (DD): Nov 13, 2014 (according to PER email)
PER Date: Nov 25, 2014

A few points to note:

1. In lieu for birth certificates (for my wife and me), we sent sworn affidavits. We did not have BC's or high school certificates with our parents names either.

2. I had 1+ year of experience in my eligible NOC. Other years of experience were in other NOC's (at skill levels A, 0 or 1) - which were not in the list of 50 eligible NOC's.

3. I did not hire a consultant or lawyer. I followed published CIC instructions as meticulously as I could.

4. I learned a few important points from this forum (especially related to substitute documentation for missing birth certificates). Instead of asking questions on the forum - I picked up the most important points by searching and reading older posts. We all can do our bit to reduce repetition / clutter by reading material that has already been posted - or by performing a simple search.

Good luck to all.

Congrats and +1 to you !!

Hi experts,

need info about Canada medical health system
do we need to take insurance cover for initial few months?

or it is provided by govt and we have to pay the federal tax.

pls explain .....

It depends on the province. In Ontario for example, it's part of your taxes (which are roughly 1% more than, say, British Columbia). In British Columbia you pay a monthly fee depending on your income level. For example, if you make lots of income you might have to pay $68/mo for health care. If you don't make much income, you won't pay anything.

In either case, there is a 3 month waiting period usually before you get coverage (after you apply when you land in Canada), so you'll likely want to have private insurance during that time period.

your application will be rejected due to old form, so immediately send the updated form to CIC at the same address. Mention all your details so that CIC people can match your previous application with your new form.

also send an email to CIC updating them that you have sent the new form and they should align that form with your old application.

one of my friend did the same thing and CIC replied to him confirming that his new docs are being matches to his application.
