what i know is, its not a thing to hide..
lawyer is not right..he might be relying on a fluke SINCE they overlooked it..

i dont want to demorale u, but it would have been better to show it..

IT CAN BE CHECKED at some later stage n may cause problem.

Dear seniors and forum members ,

I am main applicant and our application was received on 31st July 2014. I have applied with my wife.

My wife had previously applied for Canada student visa in year 2010 with her dependant just making the marriage certificate but unfortunately she didn't received visa. We married last february and it is genuine. Now in background declaration form, we did not mentioned about it because lawyer said that CIC doesn't see the background check of dependant. They look over only for the main applicant.

I applied through Consultant. They had their own lawyer living in Canada. While Canadian lawyer had a visit to consultancy, I had asked him about it. And he said no need to keep that information about spouse.

Is this true? I am worried about it.

Is there any solution to come out from this problem?

It would be great for your information.

Can anybody let me know while calling CIC at this number(16139444000), what options we need to select as it the tape asks for so many things to select. By the way i always select 1 and once the call goes to agent he/she always reply thatwe can't help you with UCI number as you need to touchbase with respective office location.

 Procedure to get CIC agent on phone
 Call at – 0016139444000
 Select 1 for English
 1 for immigration
 Call is being transferred to CIC
 Then 1 for English
 2 for status
 1 for PR
 When it asks you to enter UCI number just be on hold n let it say it 3 times then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
 Agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc.

I am the secondary applicant applying along with spouse on December 1st week , but my IELTS report ( 5 points ) will expiry on January 2015 .. will it affect on point calculation /rejection ?

If your application reaches before IELTS is expired, it will be considered valid.

Yeah, I will Plus 1 that. Patience is the better part of this journey. Each Milestone is crossed, but not before it tests your patience. Getting worried or tense doesnt help at all. We have done what we needed to do. Now have faith in whichever system of faith applies to you. It really goes up to the same source at the end of the day, doesnt it.

i recieved my PER on 1st OCT...WAITING FOR MY MEDICALS.. GUESS MY BACKGROUND CHECK IS GOIN GON..

I GOTA DOUBT.... MY FD GOT MATURED YESTERDAY. AND BANK HAS AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFERED IT TO MY SAVINGS...

HOW DOES CIC CHECK FOR THE AMOUNT, DO THEY JUST LOOK AT THE BANK STATEMENT OR??? DO I HAVE TO

I telecommunication engineer (Electrical&electronic bachelor's degree) i have 12 years experience, the first 6 years i worked as operation and maintenance engineer in a mobile system and the other 6 years i was wireless manager department. my Reference letter from my company descried the two intervals main duties , however some of the main duties described in the noc 2133(electrical and electronic engineers) i was doing while i was a manger, as a result the main duties required for noc 2133 are divided into the two intervals (maintenance engineer&manger engineer). After reading your posts and how cic reject many files cos of experience letters i am getting too scared that my file will be rejected. I was thinking of sending another reference letter with more accuracy regarding the job duties. what do you recommend me seniors,, please help

What do I need to provide for the Self Addressed mailing label ?
Is there any specific orientation ( portrait / landscape) ? Is there any specific FONT size ?

Provide your name and address. Print it in a bonf paper. Any size would do.

Sorry brother, its totally different from what u said, there are lots of options to select, after pressing 1 atleast 7 times i as asked to enter UCI number then i hold the call till agent comes to phone but she again refused to give me UCI number , i dont know wht to do now ?

I patiently followed this steps yesterday, and after 22minutes the lady politely told me I shld contact Sydney for FSW info, as they have no idea abt so i am :-\
