Looks like NOC 2173 reached cap of 1000 .. looks like it stopped at Aug 12th .. lost by 1 day .. feeling like banging my head for wasting time in sending the application ... congrats to all File number holders ...

I think you shouldn't lose hope.

well most of the files for university lecturer 'ld be returned...the only thing they are accepting is the lecturers who had 4 years of bachelor's degree and a masters degree of 2 years....due to this factor....most of the applicants 'ld only have a 3 years bachelor's degree which 'ld lead to disqualify ....so i think if ur husband has 4 years bachelor's degree with 18 years of education till masters' degree...he'ld qualify for sure...

Seniors can you verify if this is true? Feeling worried. My husband only has a 4 years bachelors degree. Our country doesn't ask for masters to be a lecturer or professor and he is a culinary arts professor or lecturer.

My dd charged on 4 nov and got PER today. And i have read some post who application reached on 17 july and they got PER day before yesterday. So dnt wory u wil get it

I applied with 2011 PCC for 2014 SP application and they acknowledged it. Several users in this thread reported that VOs gave credit for expired certificates too under FSW program (LVO, Paris VO). I won't argue or insist that it's the way to go, but it worked for me and it is logical. I can give you a link to OP 572 CLEARLY saying that application is to be rejected if wrong VO selected. But it doesn't happen. There is a guide, but there is common sense too, and CIC is not deprived of the latter most of the time.

Are you sure you are eligible for LMIA exemption? Based on CIC's website, these are the only conditions where LMIA-exemption is valid.

- You currently work in Canada in a job that is exempt from the LMIA requirement under:

an international agreement (such as, the North American Free Trade Agreement) or a federal-provincial agreement.

-are working in Canada in a job that is exempt from a Labour Market Impact Assessment, but not under an international or federal-provincial agreement

I don't think an open work permit is a valid reason for LMIA exemption for FSW purpose. In fact, CIC news website notes that people with open work permits ARE subject to LMIA in order to apply for FSW. Here's the quote and link:

Most people who are already working in Canada can submit their FSW or FST application (with a qualifying job offer) directly to CIC to be considered. In such cases, they do not need to apply separately to ESDC for an LMIA.

Just wanna share this for 2173 - August applicants (to give hope and inspiration)...


I was able to talk with a fellow Pinoy in FB group and he has same experience as mine. He was a 2174 - June 20 (DD mode) applicant. When 2174 reached 1000 capacity, he got worried because last charging was June 19 and he didn't know the status of his application if included in the 1000 cap. After 2 weeks, he emailed LVO (Manila - VO) to inquire about his status and had known that his application is already In-Transit to the Visa Office. Also, he got his UCI number.

As per conversation with him, the update for 2174 (Oct 10 - with June 19 as last charged date) even reached the date of July 4 applicants. This means that August applicants has hope for PER as long as no problems with the documents.

I am an Aug 13 and the last charge date for 2173 is Aug 12. I hope this helps to all 2173 who's like me a worried pal. Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin Tongue

I agree with you.... People who want to believe they can..or else get new PCCs...ur wish... as I submitted PCC dated 2010....and I am on the final stages...

Hi guys. When I look at the 2014 Global Spreadsheet under "Avg Process Time" I need some clarification.

My VO is Vienna. So why does it say 82 days on average in column "PER to Processing Started" and 69 days in "PER to Medical Request"? Shouldn't that be reversed?

I know it is hard to predict. I am a 30th of June applicant and received PER on the 24th of October. When should I expect my MR?
