My application package was received in Mississauga on 07/24/2015 File transfer to Vienna on 09/22/2015 Medicals received line added on 10/14/2015. They were submitted upfront. Decision Made 01/09/2016 Currently waiting on COPR. My partner comes from a visa exempt country.

My CIC account just changed from "in process" to "decision made". ;D I am guessing my common law partner has been approved with her PR? What is the next step? Are we waiting for COPR to be delivered via snail mail?

I have taken CIBC bank statement which I printed online. Even though I work here in Canada I haven't taken my employment letter. Just make sure you have something solid to show as proof. I'm not sure if you can carry that sort of cash on you because of $10.000 limit.

I just went on Saturday because I wanted to do some shopping across the border. There were not that many people there and I was done in less than 30 minutes.

I had the same experience today at the same border crossing. Please make sure you bring some sort of proof of funds because they will most likely ask you about it. Luckily I had mine with me. Wish you all the best.
