I'd like to see opinion of friends who are already in Canada for some time. On the internet, there is a lot of talk about immigrants not finding jobs as per their skills and qualifications. How accurate or representative is this? I do understand that I might take a few months for someone to move to a new country and find a good job, but some of the instances I hear say it took them several years.

I'm sure there are just as many cases of success as of failure, but I just want to hear from others who are already in Canada.

No cap updated since last 2 weeks, seems something big gonna happen in a single shot.. :o

It took me an hour to get PCC from shalimar Bagh delhi office.

Congrats. Your passport address and current address must have been same. That's why.

I think anyone, who sought help from the consutants to apply for PR can help us by asking their consultants. (When I say consultant, not just a person/agent, must be some good reputed agencies can help us)

NOW WHERE IS MR DAVID COHEN WHO STARTED THIS SITE....PLEASE ANYONE WHO CAN ASK HIM

When i took the PCC, I got it on the same day (40 minutes in PSK). From PSK Thripunithura (Kochi). I live in Bangalore for 10 years.

they issued the PCC on the same day. I asked him if there are no verification, he said, when my passport was taken a police verification was done (in 2004) so this is based on that.

so if your passport has been verified once and the address is the same place, you dont have to worry i believe!

40 minutes is impressive.

Hi !!! I would say it took me around one year to get a job in my profession and another year to find the job I wanted. In my experience it usually take longer for regulated health professionals as you have be licensed in Canada by the relative regulatory body in order to start your practice!!You need to keep trying though without giving up
Good luck :) ;D

Have u figured it out,, what is right or wrong here.....
I means did u discuss with anyone...I mean if NDVO doesnt take online fee why the *censored word* they online link. How would anyone know if its right or wrong.

I THINK ITS GENERAL LINK FOR INDIA BHUTN NEPAL AFGANISTAN. AS FAR AS I KNOW IN NEPAL VISA OR MASTERCARD DOESNT WORK. MAY THATS WHY THEY HAVE MENTIONED ABOUT PAYING BY DD.

CONFUSSED MAN...WTF...
PLEASE ANYONE

For curiousity, I checked UK and U.S sites. As per the sites, even they dont accept CC.
Both websites mentioned explicitly that "We do not accept credit / debit card"
Very strange!!!

US Site went on saying "Do not send receipts as proof of payment: We do not accept the payment of fees on-line nor receipts of fees paid in Canada."
See below link for U.S;

My ECAS shows "We received your application for permanent residence on July 3, 2014."
