Seniors,
Do you recommend to attach the business card of my Project manager who has signed my Letter of Reference or they will consider that as a pointer to specific person?

@ Mbakry

If your letter is not on letter head you must attach his/ her business card. If it is on letter head then you may or may not attach b card.

Good luck

Hi Seniors,

I am a 2171 applicant from India, got my PER on 2nd Oct 2014, it was stated that

When should I contact CIC?
You must notify CIC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:
• Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child.

I have to add my new born's name to the applicant.

1) To notify CIC of changes to your application, visit www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions.asp, select the office stated below, and follow the directions for “Case Specific Enquiry.”

The office stated below is CIC, Nova Scotia, so do I send the application for my baby to CIC, Nova scotia.

2) which application's do i need to fill and send?

TIA...

Congratulations.

Inform them about changes in your family with Case Specific Inquiry(to your Local VO not CIO-Sydney, its because you already received PER), and also ask them what you need to submit to add your baby to your application. They will send you to submit below thing.

So I would suggest in mean time you starting collecting below stated documents.

***
In order to continue processing your application, additional documents are required. Please complete these forms after the baby is born. Always include your file number on all correspondence

(A) If the child was born in Canada:
You must submit the following document:
· a legible copy of a long form birth certificate showing the names of father and mother

No medical examination or processing fee is required if the child was born in Canada.

(B) If the child was born outside Canada:
You must submit the following documents:
· Legible copy of a long form birth certificate showing name of father and mother

· Copy of child's passport ( Please provide as soon as possible)

· 4 photographs meeting the specifications for Citizenship and Immigration

· IMM 0008 Generic – all pages must be completed by the principal applicant to show

· details of the new dependant.

You must send these documents in hard copy (not via email) to the following address:

On receipt of these documents, your child will be added to your application as a non-accompanying dependant, and medical forms and instructions will be sent to you.

You must also pay the processing fee of $150 CAD for your child's application. (if born outside canada)

This payment must be made online. Please consult the following link for complete instructions: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en

Once this office receives your payment for the processing fees, your child's application status will be changed to an accompanying dependant.

Hi to All,

1.What is the difference between reference letter and experience letter?
2.If my husband NOC 4011 has 2 years as part time professor at university (20 hours a week) does that equal 1 year full time experience?
3.What is the difference between university professor and lecturer?
4.Copy of original language documents need only stamp and signature of public notary?

Thanks!!!
Hry did u checked ur mail??
Reference letter is compossed of praise of applicant. Like he is good at teaching. His reseach skills are brillsnt, generally it is from HOD
Exeprience letter contain job duties
Docs other then English must be translated and notary attested
Part time, regular does not matter
40 hours per week is all that matters

I suggest dont make ur case complicated
All the best

Yup. I was surprised at the speed too. Maybe CIC is more organized now, scanning for the hit list requirements as soon as possible and returning as many applications as possible. The one's surviving might be be getting another scan and then CCs or DDs charged. So this way returning or rejected applications are handled quicker.

Too late for 2173? I'm still expecting answers for my questions. treat me as one odd case of extreme optimism, I just want to keep both the applications alive. Thanks for all the replies.

We are from India and currently working in Canada on Work permits. No e-mails from CIC so far, the package was returned by post yesterday.

Do you see when the decision was made? Secondly, if there is any package dispatch date?

Hi to All,

1.What is the difference between reference letter and experience letter? Reference letter according to CIC should have detail job description so that review officer can compare it with NOC description. For more on reference letter, see http://www.fsw2014.info/preparing-job-roles/ ; In the exerience letter only mention period and designation and may not have detail roles and responsibilities.
2.If my husband NOC 4011 has 2 years as part time professor at university (20 hours a week) does that equal 1 year full time experience? Yes assuming he worked continuously. It will be equivalent to 1.5 years experiences.
3.What is the difference between university professor and lecturer? One is university professor - expect to have PhD degree; another is university lecturer - possibly started his profession in teaching.
4.Copy of original language documents need only stamp and signature of public notary? No, not required if it is in English.

Thanks!!!

Hello ALL!

Dear friends, I extremely need YOUR advice...

I was charged September, 23 and have received PER-letter September, 30.
In that letter from CIO the following phrase has been written:
... Please inform the visa office of any changes in your application (e.g. birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc). Please include a letter identifying what the changes are and any relevant supporting documents. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals....

Quoting from a past post from a senior;
For the child addition, please check the below:

1. Updated Additional Family Information IMM5406” FOR U AND SPOUSE.
2. 150 CAD bank draft
3. With a cover letter mentioning your new born child addition.
4. Child Birth Certificate
5. Passport.
6. updated Bank cert+statement
7. PHOTO-6 COPIES (WITH FIVE COPIES WRITTEN WITH NAME+DOB+Photo taken date )
8. Generic form
www . cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

Finally courier to the local VO address...

DD is advisable

So... Today my son was born!!!!!

Hi All,

I have a strange situation. I went to do my medicals on 18th Oct in Fortis, Bangalore. We are a family of four. The youngest one is 12 months old. The doctor had nothing to say about the three of us. But for the younger one was referred to a pediatrician coz her weight was falling in the 3rd percentile (did not completely understand what that means. Just that her weight is below average). The pediatrician examined her and gave a report mentioning that the development is normal. But she also mentioned that periodic pediatric visits are required. I do not know what would be the effect of that statement. Can somebody throw a light on this aspect? Any doctors out there who can give me some perspective?

After completing the consultation with the pediatrician I gave my file and the report to the front office. They said everything is done and they would send the reports to CIC. They gave copies of the MR form for four of us.

Just today I was preparing all the documents viz., Medicals, PCC, RPRF etc when I noticed that the original report from the pediatrician is with me. I do not know why they gave it back to me. I called up the hospital only to be informed that staff has left for the day. They would not be available tomorrow either. So I am right now caught in a dilemma. What should be my next step? Wait until Friday or go ahead and post my documents to NDVO? Please suggest.
