Dear Seniors,

I have a question regarding the duration of work experience letter and it's points ... My experience letter says that I worked from 1st september 2012 to till date, 1st October 2014. Which is equal to 2 years and 1 month. How many points will I get ? I guess between 2-3 years experience .. right ? which is equal to 11 points . Clarify me if I am wrong.
As told by diplomatru you will get 11 points but make sure your job if full time (30 hrs each week).

i believe that noc cap is updated based upon number of completed applications received.
once that is done and completeness is affirmed by CIO, the files are moved to "charging section"
post this process, files are then moved to PER.

as we noticed in case of 2174, people are still getting charged and PER, inspite of 1000 applications received.
therefore, we can conclude that completeness check is probably going on for last week of july to approx 10 aug applicants
and the next cap update shall be in accordance to the same.

pls notice, I am talking about 2 different aspects. 1 is completeness check which is the first process and then the 1st charge (which takes approx 80-85days)

PLS CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG. its just what i feel is the case.

reply appreciated

I think that CIC has dealt differently with 2174 because they wanted to announce that they have already received enough applications to fill the cap. With that said, it doesn't really matter, and in fact there is no way to know for sure, whether they counted the apps that passed the completeness check or whatever other check they do. If I were to put the rules in CIC, I would simply count the number of received applications in each NOC and mark this NOC as closed once I receive 2000 applications or whatever number of applications that I can comfortably be sure that it is enough to reach the cap after rejections and withdrawals, based on previous statistics.

I graduated in the july 2012 , so this is the only company I have worked for ... Now what do you mean by other ref. letters ???

Now that you have indicated that this is your only record of employment, the question of other ref. letters appears not applicable to you.

I have a simple question

Has any one got rejected by local VO last year or this year after receiving MR.
Rejection other than medical reasons

If so than what was the reason

A reply will be highly appreciated

Thx

Hi Friends,

I am almost ready to submit my application package. Just wanted to check about the Fee Payment Form. I am making the payment through Demand Draft. Do I need to sign my Fee Payment Form?

I have read about a lot of applications being rejected as the applicants forgot to sign the same. However, there is no space provided for signing and dating the Fee Payment Form.

On similar lines, even supplementary information - travel form does not have option for putting sign and date.

How should I proceed further? Please help. :-[

Thanks for sharing but I disagree!!!! If you are not shy from working hard you will make your dreams true!!!
Its just her perspective !

I also Agree with SSPT. I also have relatives in canada and they told me that if are ready to work in any field, you will be happy but if you think that you will get job in your own profession then it might be possible that you get it atonce or you have to wait for many years.

I also have relatives who went there few years back, they all are settled well. they definately tell you have to work hard when you arrive in canada.

I think standard working hours amount to 40h/w, but it varies from country to country.

I have a question for you guys, I would appreciate if you could advise me on this.
I received a passport request email on September 26th and sent my passport to CIC on the same day. However, I haven't received back my passport yet. When I look on the tracker, the passport return time doesn't seem to follow any trend for people. I need my passport for a trip in 7 days. What do I do?

There's nothing you can do at this time. PP turnover can take 1 month for CPC-O according to SS.

You are right but CIC consider the job as full time if its atleast 30 hours and part time if atleast 15 hours.

No arguing with that, friend. But just to be extra sure, I would recomend to stress out in the ref. letter that the employee was working at a full-time basis and then specify the number of w.h./week as per domestic jurisdiction.

Hi, for the purpose of FSW, hours worked per week should not be less than 40 hours per week to qualify as full time work. Cheers.

Yes certainly, We mustn't risk our application for any reason specially with CIC.
