When I had applied I was in India and hence I had kept India for the field 'Application for Permanent Residence in Canada' in IMM 0008 form. But now I'm in the United States and want to change it to United States, New York.

Can you please let me know the procedure to change this.

Century brother, can you please clarify why my CIC account showing in process status even after PER ?

It's same for all. PER don't change ECAS. Mine is still In Process.

There will be 2nd line when VO start on working your file. (2nd line on Ecas (We started processing your application on ......)

Actually mu concern was whether my consultant shared the correct information with me or not.

He told me that after filing my case to CIC they will go for completeness check. It will take 3-4 months.
so i was rigorously following up with my consultant from last few days.

Yesterday he mailed me that this is your File number & UCI. This information we have received from CIC and after you will pay the agreed final payment we will release the file number and UCI with you. Then i made the payment and they share this information with me.

Now i just want to confirm this is the normal process??

because i have read few posts in this forum which mentioned that people can check their ECAS before PER and they have UCI number since the day they have filed their application..

I am confused.

People who are already in Canada or People who previous applied for immigration but their application was returned because of any reason they have UCI already. So that why we are able to check ECAS before receiving PER.

So people who applied for first time wont have UCI with them until they receive PER.

I applied 4th June,,,, No updates yet. But WES asked more fee for sending electronic report to CIC...

I paid on 15t Oct but status is evaluation in progress....

So how long should i wait for this awkward situation as I have see that 18th JUNE already started getting PER...

Please solve some queries :

1) do we have to send all passports ? Old and current both - will it be a problem if i send both

2) Do we have to send all marksheets including secondary high school ? ( I mean 10th grade and 12th grade as I am from India) - my WES report states only bachelors and masters

3) Can we use paperclip for binding those documents and forms as they are many ? I can say around 70 pages. - how do we separate each form and how do we keep it in the envelope. ? Is there a specified size for the envelope ?

4) I am sending color photocopies which is notary attested. - will it be an issue. ?

1. old passport not required to be sent. New passport has old passport no. mentioned.
2. Yes send all passing certificates and degree certificates. Mark sheets are optional, but better to send.
3. Paperclip is fine. Envelope size is specified on CIC website, but really makes no difference.
4. Colour photocopies is not an issue.

If you got visa that permit you to stay USA continuously more than one year, then you may request your vo to transfer your file at CPC-Ottawa with justification. They may entertain your request or refuse it.

In this year, NDVO seems to be faster than earlier. So, just wait and see before you make your decision.

They have it from previous app......... it remains same forever but first time is is issued at the time of CC/DD charging or return of file for whtever reason may be such as CAP filled or document missing etc etc.

I have a question:

My CIC request says:

"Provide your original signed valid passport for yourself and each accompanying dependant:
- Your passports must be valid for at least one year from the date you completed the medical
exam requested above. This will be the date by which you must arrive in Canada as an
immigrant.
- Each person, including minor children, must have their own passport, and there must be at
least two blank pages in each passport
- Ordinary passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may
be inserted. Diplomatic, official, and other special passports are not acceptable
- Passports that are not signed by the holder are not valid for travel "

What does signed passport mean?
Is it that I have to sign my passport somewhere? And if so where?

U know what made me ask this question today again because I got messgae from humber2014(on of the forumites) that her freind is still in the waiting after paying fee to WES on 1st October...

WES status is in progress always till date...

So I am feared little...

Guys....God has sent me a gift of Diwali.....can you guys believe....I got an email on Saturday.....yes Saturday from cic for positive per at 7 pm IST.....

Application date : 23 June
Dd encashment: 9 oct.

Will update SS soon....

Surprising that you got the email on Saturday 7 PM IST, which is around 7 AM Saturday, Canada.
Mail sent at 7 AM on Saturday by CIC ? Whatever it is enjoy the limelight.
