what is the impact of having controlled diabetes & hypertension in medical. or can one be silent in declaring it.

You MUST answer all questions asked during the medical honestly and completely. Misrepresentation is an automatic rejection and ban from Canada.

The impact depends on the doctor's assessment of the condition and your prognosis. They may ask for further information from your personal physician. If they determine that you are likely to cost the Canadian health care system more than the annual per capita health care system, you will receive a "fairness letter" warning you that such a determination has been made. You would need to answer this and convince them otherwise or risk rejection. If that does happen I strongly suggest you hire a lawyer to represent you in answering the fairness letter and for any subsequent dealings with CIC.

You have to show POF for your entire family whether they are accompanying you or not.

yes u hv to show money for ur dependents now otherwise ur appl will b rejected. there is no choice or else u hv to apply for u alone.

Applying for himself alone won't work. He still has to show POF for the whole family.

do you have any idea or list of additional documents to prepare if you got married?
When is the best time to update before you get married or after the marriage.?
or during the MR stage or PPR stage?

Marriage certificate, spouse's background declaration form, spouse's additional family information form, update generic form, travels form, your family information form with spouse's info, spouse's passport, national ID, birth certificate and anything necessary if you wish to claim adaptability points, proof of admission (if necessary), PCCs. There may be more I haven't thought of, you should check the document checklist. Update the local VO as soon as you know you intend to marry.
