I have one basic question regarding Proof of funds.

One of my friend who has applied under FSW 2014 has a family of two so he mentioned CAD14720 as his POF but he is also expecting a baby next year.

Considering the timeline of other FSW applicants, He would be having an extra family member after getting his PER and visa stamp on his passport if everything goes well.


Can someone please help me on below points?

1. How can he add a new family member to his FSW application? He should tell his local visa office he is expecting a baby and follow their instructions. He will need to provide updated documents and forms after the birth. He should NOT get his visa stamped and have a child before landing, as after the visa stamp his application will be closed and he will be stuck with a baby who does not have a visa and will not be able to land.
2. How much fund he has to show before he fly to Canada? The required amount for 3 people.
3. Is there any age limit for a family member to be considered for POF? Any dependants count.

I am planning to include them in the Generic Application from (IMM0008). But not planning to accompany with me to Canada ryt now. Even then, I am supposed to show the POF for 4 persons? Please advice

Yes, you still must show for 4 persons.

Why won't your family accompany you right away? You are required to explain this to CIC. It shouldn't prejudice your application, but if they suspect the answer is "I can't afford to bring them with me," it could be a problem.

Is obesity in the medical report considered as a major heath issue while giving visa?

Not by itself, but just make sure it is not accompanied by serious issues like hypertension, heart disease, etc.

P.S : I used old generic application form plus one of my experience letter was on plain white paper as company has been closed.Secondly i gave pay letters and promotion letter as my salary was not mentioned in exp letter.i hope it might help other guys and ease their nerves.

Second line is getting updated on Tuesday or Saturday after MR. So its possible that people don't update ECAS while updating the SS on receiving the MR.

My ECAS since the 1st line seemingly update on Saturdays. Maybe next week for DM?
