I have a question:

My CIC request says:

"Provide your original signed valid passport for yourself and each accompanying dependant:
- Your passports must be valid for at least one year from the date you completed the medical
exam requested above. This will be the date by which you must arrive in Canada as an
immigrant.
- Each person, including minor children, must have their own passport, and there must be at
least two blank pages in each passport
- Ordinary passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may
be inserted. Diplomatic, official, and other special passports are not acceptable
- Passports that are not signed by the holder are not valid for travel "

What does signed passport mean?
Is it that I have to sign my passport somewhere? And if so where?

Quick question: How did you know when your file was transferred as per your timeline?
I received PER on Sept. 29. I'm fellow Jcan

I had sent them a case specific enquiry and they responded to say they got my file but have not started reviewing it yet and any further info would be given at that time. I noted the date of that email as my assumed AOR. After this whole process is done and I order GCMS notes, I'll then see when exactly the transfer date was.

Your NOC isn't hot but it's warm; to be safe apply ASAP.

Also require some information regarding the DD. I talked to Citibank in pune they told me to make a DD in Canadian Dollar you will require some form 15 ab and form 15 ac. Please let me know thus it is required or should i contact other bank for the DD.

Please let me know.

Also, what will be the format for Balance Certificate. I talked to citibank customer care and they were not sure what i am asking.
I told them that i require certificate mentioning that on 17th October i have xxxx amount of balance in my account is that Correct?

Please fill the forms which is required by Citibank and they will provide you within 3rd day.
regarding Bank certificate they will issue you a simple certificate on letter head which describes your account balance.

but please dont forget to send the original bank certificate.

I have got the following doubts:

1. I have just received my WES-ECA and I am planning to dispatch my packet to CIC in Sydney NS next week for the NOC-2173-Software Engineer. What do you think would be my chances to get a file number from them ? Currently (as of 10-Oct) the list on the website shows that 425 applications have received file numbers for 2173. Nobody knows.

2. What would be the actual estimated applications that CIC would have already received for my NOC which they are yet to open? I beleive this is stored in some SS which a lot of guys are mentioning on the forum. Where is this SS maintained? Requesting you all to please provide me the path for this SS. Nobody knows.

3. For preparing the employment references letter:
i. Should the descriptions of your roles and responsibilities be exactly printed as the ones mentioned on the NOC description page 'OR' should the sentences be modified for writing them in other words keeping the meaning same? Say the same thing in a different way. Don't cut and paste. Keep it simple but give enough detail to make it clear.
ii. My company does not provide letters like these. What should I do then? Get a personal (non-letterhead) letter from a senior who knew your duties.
iii. Can I get a format for the letters somewhere? There are a few floating around the web, someone may also have one to send you.

Passport is expected to have signature of the holders; it could be actual (my old passport) or digital (in my new passport). For children, there shall be thumb print on it.

Checking up on the forum after a week.. Please share the update on 2174.. Last I saw that cic declared it full last week and we had 19th as the last date of charging.. I see a couple of 20 June candidates have stated that they have been charged for 2174..

What do we know now?? Is the charging for this noc still going on??

Or do we know the final dates for this noc??
