What CIC has listed is a broadline of what an analyst/consultant might do. An analyst for an IT services company would not be the same analyst as in a bank or let's say a payroll analyst. So don't worry, you just need to fall the overall category and match 60%-70% of the profile.

Check the following carefully, this is the heading preceeding those 4 Main duties listed:

The following is a summary of the main duties for some occupations in this unit group:

CIC itself has mentioned that the above is for some occupations and not all :)

Hi everyone

I need some help from someone who like me, has applied under the NOC 2171

You know that in the "Main duties" section they explain that the following duties are for SOME occupations in this group. Then they shortly describe 4 specific occupations. But as you may already know, the unit group has many other occupations, in the "view all titles" link.
My work experience and duties in my reference letters are related with IT analyst and IT Consultant, both included in this long list.
Since the main duties for these two particular occupations are not directly shown in the summary area, Do you think this thing have any effect on their assessment for this NOC?

Thank you.

Thanks goku and canoi!! :)

Hi friends It was 18:31 IST and I was driving and my phone rang with the email notification couldn't stop myself so I picked up the phone while driving and was amazed to see it was none other than the golden mail

PER received just now. 17-10-2014
App date 18 june
Payment mode DD
DD encased on 9 oct

Really thankful to all on the forum specially Palak Bhai, century, ashif, Gsw, CanOl, Ananjay, Optimist, Oscar and all others on this forum .

Some more info I want to share

In my original application I did not send BCs for me and my wife and my working hours were not mentioned on any of my reference letters.
So I sent

BC for me and my spouse

A revised reference letter from one employer stating my working hours and a full time employee confirmation email from other employer's HR.
For another 3 employers I sent a self declaration affidavit that I was a full time employee and worked.more than 48 hours a week.

These Additional documents were delivered on 16 Sep (when application of mid June were under completeness check)I also sent an email on same day I.e. 16 sep as guided on the forum and sent all scanned docs for their reference. But yet I dont have any official confirmation of the inclusion of those documents. But I believe those are definitely added to my application.

Once again thanks to almighty God and all of you wonderful people on the forum.

I am literally crying could not stop myself from sharing with you so stoped the car and shared. :)

VIND,

Congrats and +1 to you (Karmafied for now. Just gave you +1, 2 days back)!!! So you've finally made it happen !!! All the best for future steps..

Sorry to hear that.

You should have no issues for reapplying next year (even in a different code). Just make sure that the your job responsibilities in reference letters match NOC responsibilities. You can find required responsibilities for any code in this website.

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/quicksearch.aspx?val65=2173

If your employer is willing to let you compose the letter, it's better to keep the language as close as possible as the visa officers are non-technical.

Good Luck Next year.

:'( when will they send me my application back? I don't know what will happen now. I don't have a job in Canada and I doubt anyone will give me. I'm sick of this life .. life of constant rejection. :'(

Why so much of pessimism ?
