Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.

Your application has now been placed into processing.

Thanks for all positive comments in past week!!!!

WES report received at Sydney 15 Oct.
Oct 15 PER received

Congrats.... :D :D :D

IMHO, I would suggest waiting till you receive the PER and possibly AOR. Since the background checks are in any case going to be done by the VO, not CIC.

I don't think CIC would take a strong objection minor errors such as yours. At this stage your PER confirmation would almost been done or already done. Even if you send the document it may not reach in time. So just sit tight, and then deal with LVO later on.

No response to previous post so posting this again!

I made a mistake in background declaration form and my CC has been charged already and I may receive PER this week. What is best course of action now? Should I send a corrected form to CIO, Sydney with an explanation letter? or should I wait for file to be transferred to VO and then send in corrected application form to VO with an explanation letter?

What was the mistake Jaxon?

Question 6 asks if I have ever been refused a visa by ANY country, I overlooked this question. I have ever been refused a visitor visa by US consulate once. It was overturned recently and US granted me a visa recently but I think I should have still said yes and mentioned details.

Thanks Future Canadian for your response.

I am certainly in dilemma, can I send in a new form once file is transferred to London VO? Would they consider this new form or would they simply refuse my application because of this? Has anyone done this kind of thing before?

You can always correct or update your application during the local VO stage. Whether this will have a negative effect is up to the people processing it; they must have internal instructions for such cases. At least it would raise a question for them.

Very Tricky situation buddy!! If I were you, I will write a detailed apology letter and explain the over look to the local VO after the file gets transferred. But, it should be convincing enough. While rejection of visa earlier by US might not warrant a rejection of PR now, but the fact that this was not informed in the application might be treated as suppression of fact and may lead to outright rejection your case, no matter what stage it is in.

You may also choose to not inform them, but not quite sure what check happen in the background. Hence, can't comment on the risk.

Sorry, unable to guide beyond this. Its a very sensitive issue, hence only giving you options and leaving the choice to you.

Thank you Shah & everyone else for the response.

QQ, for fee payment, it has to be done conventional way again or can it be done online via credit card?

Thanks

@ IRana

Congratulations! u r almost there

Either u wud have already got the MR email or will be there before u get earliest appointment, so just wait for it.

LVO doesn't know if something has changed or not (such as passport renewal or change in ur info required in Schedule A), they just want to make sure. Therefore they asked and u just provide the same copies which u provided earlier.

Hi Team,

My name is Harsh and I'm applying for FSW 2014 under DBA 2172 category.I have 3.8 years of experience and scored 7 bands in IELTS as

Speaking - 6
Listening - 8.5
Writing - 7.5
Reading - 6.5

I'm 26 years old and have done Bachelors of Technology in Computer science 4 years degree

I've done all the paper work PCC and everything. But at the time of submitting document my agent is saying that I'm 2 points short ie 65

Could you guys please let me know what are the options I've as I'm going to complete 4 years experience on 20 December 2014.So If I send my application on 21 dec 2014,will there be any chance for me then as from Jan 1 Express Entry is going to be there.

Please guide me on this.

Best Regards
Harsh Kumar :-[

IELTS - 21 points
Experience - 4 yrs - 13 points (Subject to duties matching as in ref letter) (as on 21st Dec 2014)
Age -12 points
Education : 21 points (Subject to WES)

Currently 65 points due to less work ex, but on 21st Dec 2014, you will be scoring exactly 67 points which is the cutoff, which is perfectly OK. your Consultant is misguiding you. Ask him the points breakup.

To be on the safer side, you can ask your spouse (if applicable) to give IELTS and score CLB4 (L-4.5, R-3.5, W-4.0, S-4.0) to get additional 5 points.

regarding timelines, the FSW programme is on till April 30th 2015 as per Ministerial instructions mentioned in Canadian gazette and also 2172 NOC is extremely stone cold. So you can apply in December 2014.
