Yes I agree.
But if they have to return the application within Canada the applicant will know earlier about the rejection than someone in Latin America for example...just due to mail transit time.

CIO is already doing completeness checks on applications from mid-july. It doesn't depend from where the application was sent.

Processing is about 30 days later than that.

Hello experts,
I am planning to try for express entry.
I got IELTS score of 7.5 ( S- 6.5 , W - 7.5 , L - 8, R - 9 )
I am worried because of low score in speaking.
I understand that Australia needs 7 in each band for skilled migration.
Do I need to improve my score for express entry ?
Please share your thoughts.

Thanks a lot

Nobody knows yet how will EE work.

Criteria might be the same for FSW, might be totally new... CIC hasn't spoken about that program yet and we don't know when it will.

They may say things this week or on January 1st... we have to wait patiently.

But to be on the safe side, if you can get a better score, go for it. It won't hurt your application and it there is a good chance it will improve your chances since it will be competitive.

6/12 applicant still awaiting package but 7/7 applicant received the package, both are based in India. Mysterious are the ways of CIO.

Another 7/10 applicant residing in US received the returned application last week.

Re-post

Guys, I need an advice regarding my Birth Certificate issue.

Some background: I'm a June 09 Applicant (NOC 2174). I got my PER last week (obviously, my CC has been charged)

So here's my Problem. My birth Certificate is in my native language (Telugu). I also have a notarized translation of my by birth certificate, but this wasn't translated by an official translator. Back in 2006 when I was doing my Masters, my International adviser had my friend translate and sign it, and he then had it notarized. I've used that notarized BC without any problems so far in the USA.

I sent them a copy of my Birth Certificate, and a Copy of the Notarized & translated birth certificate I have. I know, I was stupid to send a copy of the notarized BC, but I didn't know better at the time. What's done's done, I'm looking for a way to reduce the impact if possible.

Now that I realized that BC is a big deal, I went to the Indian Embassy and got myself a Birth Certificate Issued by them. I also have my Secondary School Certificate with my name, DOB and my father's name on it.

So my question is, what would be the best course of action be in my case? My visa office is Ottawa. Should I send them some supporting documentation quoting the UCI I got? Or should I just wait on the Visa Officer to say something?

Thanks Much in Advance.

Sundeep,
Just sit tight. Now that you got your PER, they have accepted what you sent. Why do you want to fix it when it is not broken.
Good Luck with the rest of the process.

What is life without some spice and mystery? CIC only keeps thinks interesting ;)

Hi guys
Is it must to make the payment cheque from the same bank account that I made the bank certificate?

Absolutely NO. You might get a discount on the fees payable if you were to do so!!

For what are you writing a cheque????
