Friends,

could you please tell for the following based on your experience.

1. My applicatoin is received on June 04th and tillnow my DD is not encashed. Is it mean that till now my application is not opened by CIC.
2. If My applicaton is opened, is it rejected. if yes by this time it would reached me, But not.
3. Is my application is reached to right place. infact it is received by GLEN and observed in SS many applications are received by GLEN.

Please answer to my questions.

I can totally understand your situation dude. But, hold your nerve. No one here knows what is happening in CIC. The favorable fact is that you havent got your file back. Dont rely on bank to give correct info about DD encashment. BTW, they would not know it immediately, they take 2-3 days time to come back with the information. If your bank is giving you an answer immediately, then they are giving wrong information.

As long as you dont get your file back, dont get disheartened buddy. Hold on. They might have sent you a PER already. Have you seen today a person from 13th may got his PER today. Dont lose hope. Chin up!!

Regarding the Marital Status for Question No:13 in Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008).

Help required please !!!

I am married and my marriage is registered legally and now I am no longer living with my wife and I haven't applied for divorce as well. In this case what shall I put my marital status as and what documents do I need to provide to CIC along with my application.

You need to provide everything required in the Guide and Document Checklist as if you were still married and living together, including her birth certificate, PCCs, background declaration and family information form, etc. Living apart from your wife is irrelevant. If your wife won't cooperate to provide some of the items you should provide as much as you can and explain the situation to CIC in a cover letter along with your application.

Also note that you will be required to prove settlement funds for your wife and any other dependants, even if you are not living together and even if they are not accompanying you.

If you have any children and you intend to bring them but not your wife, you will also need a separate form for this, which is available with all the other forms using a link from the Guide.

Mine is 28-July-2014 App received date. And i have applied under 2174 NOC. I see from the cic website that the cap of 1000 has been reached for NOC 2174. Question is will i be able to make it ?

No, sorry. You can apply under a different NOC if you are eligible, otherwise you are more prepared for EE now.

Dear Seniors, Need your help!

I've to send BC as additional documents, Birth Certificate has name, dob, parents name location in English but rest other things are in Hindi (native language) so I'm thinking to get a translation of BC in English and send it to CIC.
I'm in USA and original copy is in India so I've to ask my brother to make it translated in English, an affidavit from translator and make a certified copy of Original BC.

My question, Do I need to submit original copy of affidavit, translation & Certified copy or Can I submit a copy of these documents (scan & print)?

Please help!!!!

I am planning to try for express entry.
I got IELTS score of 7.5 ( S- 6.5 , W - 7.5 , L - 8, R - 9 )
I am worried because of low score in speaking.
I understand that Australia needs 7 in each band for skilled migration.
Do I need to improve my score for express entry ?
Please share your thoughts.

i am 14th may applicant and my file received on 14 may 2014, Till now i did not get ant mail from CIC regarding any PER.......

If there was a problem in my file then definitly it should returned by now but still it is with them...........

i dont know why they are taking so much of time . My draft will also get expire on 4th nov 2014

I suggest sending an email to CIC right away. After about 6 weeks they will reply and let you know the status of your application.

Last year several applicants reported that CIC returned their applications but they never received them, i.e. they were lost in the mail or something like that. Then again, a May 12th applicant just got a PER, so you could be in line to get one too. Unfortunately nobody knows, which is why you need to contact CIC.

Hello Seniors,

I am 14th May 2014 applicant for NOC 2174. I received my PER on 22nd August.
My VO is NDVO. I have still not received my Medicals.

Is this situation alarming ?

Shall I send any inquiry to NDVO for my case ?


I have sent few additional documents for my US travel (currently in US) documents in September last week. Can that be the reason for delay ?

Please suggest.

NDVO doesn't seem to be proceeding chronologically with MRs. It's not time to worry yet.

CIO is already doing completeness checks on applications from mid-july. It doesn't depend from where the application was sent.

Processing is about 30 days later than that.
