Hi, anybody knows the validity of this PR whether its 3 years or 1 year for FSW?

You must land within 1 year of your medical exam. This cannot be extended.

Once you land and get your PR card, you must stay in Canada for 2 out of every 5 years to maintain PR status. You must stay in Canada for 4 year out of any 6 year period to be eligible for citizenship.

Yes they can reject it at any stage until you land in canada.

What if there's miscommunication between the verifier and the employer?

If the VO challenges you based on the results of verification activities, and you believe this was due to error or miscommunication, you will have the opportunity to state your case, or at least appeal a negative decision.

Hi, I amNOC 1114 June 30 applicant. I had sent a query to CIC on Aug 15. yesterday, I got a reply from them that aplication received and awaited review. However, they gave me UCI.

What should I infer from that?

You can infer nothing. But the positive is that you now have the UCI to check status update on CIC website.

You are not alone there. Many of 6th, 7th, and 8th May from NDVO are in the same status. So just wait. NDVO in this year is very fast compare to last year.

And HKVO has ground to a halt!

I want to ask that my wife family name was changed after marriage. Do i need to write her Name and Previous Family Name in the above fields or Only the Family Name. As her Family Name was only changed. Please help me out on this.

They won't reply to queries sent to this address. The correct address for contacting CIO is mentioned on the CIC website and on this board for like zillion times.

Need some serious help.

14th May applicant here, PER date 27th August, MR still awaited.

Today I had an appointment at the PSK for the PCC, and the guy at the PCC told me that it cannot be issued as the address in the passport and the current address(from where PCC needs to be issued) are different. As per him, the rules differ from PSK to PSK. So, I am left with no option but to reissue the passport for myself and my spouse both with my current address and spouse details as well. Just wanted to ask, how to intimate the visa office about the passport change and when ?. Will they entertain such change ? Our previous travel details are in our current passport which will get cancelled and will be returned back to us. Has anyone else reissued their passport after their PER ?

Kindly suggest, what best can be done in this case.

Which PSK is this ? Rules cannot be different for different PSKs in the same country. Speak to the APO (Area Passport Officer) of the PSK. No point in arguing with the junior staff. I had done the same for my wife's PCC after junior staff said PCC will not be possible. Finally the PCC was issued in 2 hrs flat after speaking with APO.

Hi All,

I just received MR request from NDVO.
I am 9th may applicant - 2174 NOC Code. Got cc charged on 21st July and PER on 19th August.

Some questions:
1. They gave me fee payment link but not PCC request, am I missing something? They did request passport copy though.
2. They say photo is not required for e-panel verified physician. cna someone give me info. on how to check this as well as which physician to go to and how to schedule appointment?
